The oral delivery of genistein (GEN) is hindered by its low bioavailability. tetramethylpyrazine (TMP or ligustrazine) faced with physical instability challenges due to high sublimation tendency. We tackled respective the two drugs forming a cocrystal. GEN-TMP cocrystal exhibits significantly reduced tendency than TMP and significant enhancement in both vitro release rate bioavailability rats GEN. Thus, cocrystallization simultaneously improves pharmaceutical properties parent drugs.

Highly soluble cocrystals can improve the bioavailability of poorly drugs by inducing supersaturation when absorption is limited drug dissolution. Enrofloxacin (ENR) a concentration-dependent fluoroquinolone antibacterial with poor solubility. In this study, two new ENR salts, 3,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid (ENR-3,5-DHBA) and 2,6-dihydroxybenzoic (ENR-2,6-DHBA·1/2H2O), were prepared, their physicochemical properties evaluated for suitability in formulation development. Results showed that...

Topical 5-fluorouracil (5FU) is clinically used for skin cancer. However, the penetration of 5FU low and marginal due to its poor permeability, leading limited efficacy cancer treatment. Cocrystal formation offers an opportunity improve permeability a drug without changing molecular structure. Herein, two cocrystals with lipophilic 6-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid (5FU–6HNA, 1:1) 3-hydroxy-2-naphthoic (5FU–3HNA, 2:1) were obtained characterized. The solid-state density functional theory...

To overcome the poor solubility, permeability, and bioavailability of plant isoflavone daidzein (DAI), a novel salt DAI with anhydrous piperazine (PIP) was obtained based on cocrystallization strategy. The new DAI-PIP characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, optical microscopy. results showed that maximum apparent solubility (S

Tetramethylpyrazine (TMP) is used clinically to treat cardiovascular disease and ischemic cerebrocardial vascular disease. However, the high sublimation tendency of TMP leads its physical instability. In this study, we successfully synthesized comprehensively characterized four cocrystals formed by with cinnamic acid derivatives. These effectively mitigated TMP, demonstrating their potential for stabilizing active pharmaceutical ingredient. Through detailed density functional theory...
