Checkrein deformity is characterized by the dynamic status of hallux, in which flexion aggravated ankle dorsiflexion and relieved plantarflexion. In most cases, a checkrein occurs secondary to trauma or following surgery. It has been suggested that flexor hallucis longus tendon tethers entraps scar tissue fracture sites. Improvement with conservative treatment difficult once already become entrenched, surgical management usually required severe cases. Various options are available for...

The transfibular approach is a common procedure for tibiotalar fusion. However, this technique has several concerns: inadequate stability to resist rotational and shearing forces, fibula suboptimal bone grafting, an onlay fibular graft that might prevent impacting cause distraction. We present modified using partial resection graft, which may address these potential problems. This study aimed evaluate whether the ankle joint well fused with neutral alignment functionally improved at final...

Abstract Patellar fractures are characterized by injuries to the extensor and typically require surgical fixation. Among methods used for fixation, most common is modified AO tension-band wiring technique. However, using this technique, implant migration occurs due lack of connections between K-wires wire, which causes irritation reduces fracture stability. Recently, new have been developed in tension bands lock through an attached “ring” prevent migration. The purpose study was compare...
