Rice bran protein hydrolysates (RBPH) pretreated with high hydrostatic pressure (HHP) covalently interacted ferulic acid (FA) (0.5 to 2.5 mg/mL) under alkaline conditions. The structural and functional properties of the conjugates were investigated. results revealed that FA binding equivalent on RBPH increased from 6.03 207.64 nmol/mg. FTIR spectral analysis indicated content α-helix increased, whereas contents β-sheet, β-turn, random coil decreased. surface hydrophobicity (H0) fluorescence...

The aim of the paper was to investigate effect ultrasonic emulsification treatment on fabrication mechanism and stability emulsion. covalent conjugate made with rice bran protein hydrolysate (RBPH) ferulic acid (FA) used as emulsifier. effects high intensity ultrasound (HIU) power different level (0 W, 150 300 450 W 600 W) emulsion were evaluated. results showed that can significantly improve emulsions (p < 0.05). gained better emulsifying property at W. It able fabricate smaller particle...

In this study, the stable system of bilayer emulsion was fabricated by ultrasonic emulsification. The effect chitosan (CS) addition (0.05 %-0.4 %, w/v) at pH 5.0 on stability rice bran protein hydrolysate-ferulic acid (RBPH-FA) monolayer investigated. It found that CS (0.3 %) could form a emulsion. droplet size 3.38 μm and absolute ζ-potential value 31.52 mV. had better storage stability, oxidation environmental stabilities than results in vitro simulations revealed able to deliver...

Armillaria mellea polysaccharides (AMPs) were obtained by ultrasonic assisted extraction (U), enzyme (E) and ultrasonic-enzyme (UE), respectively. The yield of UE-AMPs (6.32 ± 0.14%) was 1.64 times higher than that U-AMPs (3.86 0.11%) 1.21 E-AMPs (5.21 0.09%); meanwhile, the highest total sugar content lowest protein found in UE-AMPs. AMPs from three methods had same monosaccharide composition but different proportions, allowing to have most potent antioxidant activity. antidiabetic activity...

Traditional water distribution simulations, known as demand-driven analysis (DDA), are normally analyzed under the assumption that nodal demands and satisfied. The DDA is valid normal conditions in design requirement. However, situations such pipe burst or pump outage, outflows at nodes affected by low pressures will decrease. Therefore, network simulation deficient pressure using conventional can cause large deviation from actual situations. purpose of this paper to analyze different...

The influence of high hydrostatic pressure (HHP) treatment at 150, 300, 450, and 600 MPa for 25 min on the physicochemical properties, structural in vitro digestibility pea starch was studied. Compared to native treated 150–450 MPa, morphology completely destroyed particle size became larger, indicating complete gelatinization. X‐ray diffraction results showed that gradually changed from C‐type into B‐type pattern after 150–600 HHP treatment. At 30–70°C, had a higher water absorption index (...

In this study, albumin and globulin were separated from rice bran hydrolyzed with trypsin. The fractions of these proteins their hydrolysates comparatively studied to understand the mechanisms functional changes. SDS–PAGE showed that molecular weights two decreased. addition, number α-helices random coils increased, which was consistent structure observed by SEM. Oil-in-water emulsions prepared hydrolysate globulin, ability resist environmental pressure (pH: 3–9; salt addition: 0–300 mM NaCl...

We carried out limited enzymatic hydrolysis with trypsin on rice bran protein (RBP) pretreated by high hydrostatic pressure (HHP) in this study. The effects of the degree (DH) structural and emulsifying properties were investigated. results indicated that molecular structure RBP changed after hydrolysis. hydrolysate (RBPH, DH8) exhibited a better distribution, smaller particle size (200.4 nm), activity index (31.82 m2/g), an improved stability (24.69 min). RBPH emulsions different DH (0-12)...
