The influence of high hydrostatic pressure (HHP) treatment at 150, 300, 450, and 600 MPa for 25 min on the physicochemical properties, structural in vitro digestibility pea starch was studied. Compared to native treated 150–450 MPa, morphology completely destroyed particle size became larger, indicating complete gelatinization. X‐ray diffraction results showed that gradually changed from C‐type into B‐type pattern after 150–600 HHP treatment. At 30–70°C, had a higher water absorption index (...

Cutin serves as the foundational structure of plant cuticle and plays a crucial role in determining fruit development quality. However, transcriptional regulation cutin deposition by fruit-specific transcription factors remains largely unknown. This study delves into regulatory tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) SBP-box protein Colorless Non-ripening (SlCNR), primarily expressed fruits, formation. We found that CRISPR/Cas9-induced slcnr mutants exhibited thicker cuticles elevated contents total...

A novel wideband antenna array with coplanar waveguide series feed is proposed in this letter. By etching a symmetrical circular slot (SCS) structure on the bottom metallic layer, impedance characteristic of greatly improved. Meanwhile, gain at lower band improved by inserting another SCS center two elements. The measured results show that bandwidth from 2.04 to 3.74 GHz (the relative 58.8%). Moreover, maximum reaches 6.9 dBi.

Abstract Social isolation induces stress, anxiety, and mild cognitive impairment that could progress towards irreversible brain damage. A probable player in the mechanism of social isolation-induced anxiety is astrocytes, specialized glial cells support proper function. Using a mouse model, we observed worsened memory abilities with reductions Object Recognition Index (ORI) novel object recognition test (RI) context test. also increased astrocyte density, reduced size shorter branches,...

Fruits of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) are rich in nutrients and generally served as critical resources for human diet. In fruit pericarps, the peel tissues adhering to flesh produce functional components including flavonoids that indeed mixed polyphenolic compounds. Flavonoids play an essential role determining colour proven be functionally important health favourable hydrophilic antioxidants (Ballester et al., 2010). However, content endogenous numerous fruits tends inadequate fails meet...

Alcohol use disorder (AUD) affects over 18 million people in the US. Unfortunately, pharmacotherapies available for AUD have limited clinical success and are under prescribed. Previously, we established that avermectin compounds (ivermectin [IVM] moxidectin) reduce alcohol (ethanol/EtOH) consumption mice, but these effects by P-glycoprotein (Pgp/ABCB1) efflux. The current study tested hypothesis dihydromyricetin (DHM), a natural product suggested to inhibit Pgp, will enhance IVM potency as...

Foam cells are primarily formed through scavenger receptors that mediate the uptake of various modified low-density lipoproteins (LDL) into cells. In addition to receptor-dependent pathway, macropinocytosis is an essential non-receptor endocytic pathway for vascular smooth muscle (VSMCs) take up lipids. However, molecular mechanisms underlying this process remain unclear. Primary cultured VSMCs were stimulated with 200 ng/ml lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and μg/ml native LDL (nLDL). We observed a...
