Abstract The effects of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) on body composition were investigated. ICR mice fed a control diet containing 5.5% corn oil or CLA‐supplemented (5.0% plus 0.5% CLA). Mice exhibited 57% and 60% lower fat 5% 14% increased lean mass relative to controls ( P <0.05). Total carnitine palmitoyltransferase activity was by dietary CLA supplementation in both pad skeletal muscle; the differences significant for muscle fasted mice. In cultured 3T3‐L1 adipocytes treatment (1×10...

Abstract We investigated the effects of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) preparations, which were enriched for cis ‐9, trans ‐11 CLA isomer or ‐10, ‐12 isomer, on body composition in mice. Body changes (reduced fat, enhanced water, protein, and ash) associated with feeding isomer. In cultured 3T3‐L1 adipocytes, reduced lipoprotein lipase activity, intracellular triacylglycerol glycerol, glycerol release into medium. By contrast, isomers did not affect these biochemical activities. conclude...

Abstract Two experiments were conducted. In Experiment 1, 8‐wk‐old mice fed control diet or supplemented with 0.5% conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) to study the effect of CLA on body composition (CLA: 40.8–41.1% c ‐9, t ‐11 isomer, 43.5–44.9% ‐10, ‐12 isomer). The data for CLA‐fed vs. controls described parallel but significantly distinct responses both absolute and relative changes in fat mass (reduced mice) whole protein water (both which increased mice). mice, appeared precede reduction...

In this study, we propose a generalized stability indicator, L , for slowly evolving and quasi‐steady Atlantic meridional overturning circulation (AMOC), which represents feedback related to the AMOC its associated freshwater transport within basin. As an improvement from previous indicators in equilibrium, indicator does not require divergence‐free collapsed AMOC, enables it correctly monitor through hysteresis loop coupled atmosphere‐ocean general models. From simulation, suggests that is...

In previously studies, we showed that tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), a cytokine involved in variety of biologically important events, is partially the effects conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). this report, further tested individual CLA isomers on serum TNF-α concentration along with other biological markers mice. The animals were fed experimental diets (control, 0.5% CLA-mixed isomer, 0.25% cis-9,trans-11 or trans-10,cis-12 CLA) for 5 days and then challenged endotoxin. Both reduced levels...

Recently, ultrasensitive calorimeters have been proposed as a resource-efficient solution for multiplexed qubit readout in superconducting large-scale quantum processors. However, experiments demonstrating frequency multiplexing of these superconductor-normal conductor-superconductor (SNS) sensors are coarse. To this end, we present the design, fabrication, and operation three SNS with frequency-multiplexed input probe circuits, all on single chip. These devices their frequencies range...

Abstract Deep learning techniques have been applied to the detection of gravitational wave signals in past few years. Most existing methods focus on data obtained by a single detector. However, signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) detector is pretty low, making it hard for deep neural networks learn effective features. Therefore, how use observation multiple detectors serious issue. We simulate binary neutron star from detectors, including Advanced LIGO and Virgo detectors. calculate coherent SNR...
