There are few chain-growth polymerizations that directly place electronic elements into the backbone. B型肝炎ウイルス(HBV)とC型肝炎ウイルス(HCV)の重複感染(HBs-Ag陽性及びHCV-RNA陽性)は,それぞれの単独感染と比べて肝硬変および肝癌を発症する割合が高いため積極的な治療が望まれる.治療に関してはPEG-IFNα,リバビリン併用療法が推奨され始めているがまだ十分な情報に乏しい.今回われわれは,HBVとHCVの重複感染2症例にインターフェロン(IFN)およびリバビリン併用療法を施行した.HBe-Ag陰性例ではHCVのSustained Virologic Response(SVR)とHBs-Agの陰性化に至った.一方でHBe-Ag陽性例はHCVのSVRを達成したがHCV消失に伴うHBVの活動性の上昇がおこり重症肝炎および急速な線維化が生じ核酸アナログを使用した.HBVとHCVの重複感染例に対する治療はウイルスの優位性を評価して選択すべきであり,症例によりIFN,リバビリンに核酸アナログを追加する必要がある.
