Doxorubicin is one of the most widely used chemotherapy agents for treatment breast cancer. However, development doxorubicin resistance limits long‑term benefits in patients with Curcumin, a well‑known dietary polyphenol derived from rhizomes turmeric (Curcuma longa), enhances sensitivity cancer cells to chemotherapeutic agents; however, mechanisms underlying this phenomenon remain unclear. The aim present study was evaluate effect curcumin on chemoresistance doxorubicin‑resistant...

Hydrogenases are microbial metalloenzymes capable of catalyzing the reversible interconversion between molecular hydrogen and protons with high efficiency, have great potential in development new electrocatalysts for renewable fuel production. Here, we engineered intact proteinaceous shell carboxysome, a self-assembling protein organelle CO2 fixation cyanobacteria proteobacteria, sequestered heterologously produced [NiFe]-hydrogenases into carboxysome shell. The protein-based hybrid catalyst...

The nitrogen (N) cycle is closely related to the stability of marine ecosystems. Microbial communities have been directly linked N-cycling processes. However, systematic research on bacterial community composition and diversity involved in N cycles different seas lacking. In this study, microbial Bohai Sea (BHS), Yellow (YS) South China (SCS) was surveyed by targeting hypervariable V4 regions 16S rRNA gene using next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology. A total 2,505,721 clean reads...

The carboxysome is a protein-based nanoscale organelle in cyanobacteria and many proteobacteria, which encapsulates the key CO2-fixing enzymes ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase (Rubisco) carbonic anhydrase (CA) within polyhedral protein shell. intrinsic self-assembly architectural features of carboxysomes semipermeability shell provide foundation for accumulation CO2 enhanced carboxylation. Here, we develop an approach to determine interior pH conditions inorganic carbon...

High-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) is the most lethal gynecologic malignancy mainly due to its extensive metastasis. Cancer-type organic anion transporting polypeptide 1B3 (Ct-OATP1B3), a newly discovered splice variant of solute carrier transporter family member (SLCO1B3), has been reported be overexpressed in several types cancer. However, biological function Ct-OATP1B3 remains largely unknown. Here, we reveal that HGSOC and promotes metastasis vivo vitro. Mechanically, directly...

Bacterial extracellular proteases from six strains of marine bacteria and seven terrestrial were prepared through fermentation. Proteases analyzed substrate immersing zymography used to hydrolyze the collagen muscle proteins a salmon skin byproduct, respectively. Collagen could be degraded much more easily than protein, but it commonly showed weaker antioxidant capability. The hydrolysate was with crude enzymes Pseudoalteromonas sp. SQN1 displayed strongest activity in DPPH hydroxyl radical...

Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) technology has garnered significant interest in the robotic vision community over past few decades. The rapid development of SLAM resulted its widespread application across various fields, including autonomous driving, robot navigation, virtual reality. Although SLAM, especially Visual–Inertial (VI-SLAM), made substantial progress, most classic algorithms this field are designed based on assumption that observed scene is static. In complex...
