Thirteen new species are formally described:
Pyruszhaoxuanii is described as a new species from Guangdong Province, China, within the genus Pyrus, specifically under P.subg.Pashia. Although it shares morphological similarities with P.calleryana, P.zhaoxuanii can be distinguished by its uniquely small, obovate, leathery leaves, which have an obtuse apex and short petioles. A phylogenetic analysis based on single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) indicated that forms independent branch Pyrus categorized in Oriental clade, Currently, this...
Sedum jinglanii , a new species of Crassulaceae from Mount Danxia in Guangdong, China, is described and illustrated. Phylogenetic analysis based on the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region nr DNA suggests that belongs to S. sect. sensu Fu Ohba (2001) “Flora China”, sister clade comprising alfredi emarginatum with high support values (SH-aLRT = 84, UFBS 95) but distantly related baileyi . The morphologically similar it can be distinguished latter its opposite leaves (vs. alternate...
Lysimachia danxiashanensis , a new Primulaceae species, endemic to the Danxia landscape in Guangdong Province, China, is described and illustrated. This species morphologically similar L. pseudohenryi phyllocephala congestiflora kwangtungensis but it differs from by its purplish-red plants, petiole without wings, calyx with orange glandular corolla margin serrated on upper half orange-red punctates. belongs subgen. sect. Nummularia. Phylogenetic analysis confirmed that distinct clade, based...
Lespedezadanxiaensis (Fabaceae), a new species from Danxiashan National Nature Reserve in Guangdong Province, is described and illustrated. The morphologically similar to Lespedezapilosa, but it can be easily distinguished by its thin leathery leaflets long peduncles. Phylogenetic analysis based on ITS confirmed that the belongs Lespedezasubg.Macrolespedeza. first known of Lespedeza endemic Danxia landform currently only Mount Danxia, Guangdong.
A new bamboo species, Phyllostachys danxiashanensis (Poaceae: Bambusoideae), is described from Danxia Mountain, Northern Guangdong. This species similar to P. rivalis in having papery culm sheaths, erect sheath blades and the absence of auricles, but it differs by its much longer cilia on ligules, hispid fewer leaves ultimate branches.
