Quinoa contains far more nutrients than any traditional grain crop. It is known that terpenoids in quinoa have anti-inflammatory and antitumor effects, but their role reversing drug resistance remains unclear.
Polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) are essential nutrients for the human body, playing crucial roles in reducing blood lipids, anti-inflammatory responses, and anticancer effect. Quinoa is a nutritionally sound food source, rich PUFAs. This study investigates role of quinoa polyunsaturated (QPAs) on quelling drug resistance colorectal cancer. The results reveal that QPA downregulates expression drug-resistant proteins P-gp, MRP1, BCRP, thereby enhancing sensitivity cancer cells to...
Abstract Chemoresistance is a major cause of breast cancer (BC) recurrence and metastasis, chemotherapy resistance comes from tumor stemness. Our previous study showed that quinoa bran terpenoids (QBT) exhibited significant antitumor activity. In this study, we found QBT increased the sensitivity drug‐resistant BC cells to chemotherapeutic drugs adriamycin (ADR) taxol (TAX). A novel lncRNA 667012 was identified along with treatment. Moreover, overexpression promoted drug resistance,...
