Tobamoviruses are a group of plant viruses that pose significant threat to agricultural crops worldwide. In this review, we focus on immunity against tobamoviruses, including pattern-triggered (PTI), effector-triggered (ETI), the RNA-targeting pathway, phytohormones, reactive oxygen species (ROS), and autophagy. Further, highlight genetic resources for resistance tobamoviruses in breeding discuss future directions protection tobamoviruses.
