Multi-omics has helped elucidate the gene expression patterns and genomic variations closely associated with economically significant traits in geese. Despite substantial data generated through extensive goose studies, a unified platform for integrating these datasets is lacking. To address this gap, we introduced Goose Database (GMD), which accessible at http://goosedb.com/. The GMD comprehensive resource enabling streamlined search, analysis, visualization of genetic information interface,...
Previous results from genome wide association studies (GWASs) in chickens divergently selected for abdominal fat content of Northeast Agricultural University (NEAUHLF) showed that many single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) variants were associated with content. Of them, six top significant SNPs at the level located within SRD5A3, SGCZ, DLC1, GBE1, GALNT9 and DNAJB6 genes. Here, expression levels these candidate genes investigated liver tissue between lean broilers 14th generation population...
Abstract We observed heteroses for body weight in Drosophila melanogaster after generating hybrids from three inbred lines. To better understand the mechanism this phenomenon at mRNA level, we compared profiles of parental and hybrid lines using high-throughput RNA-seq. A total 5877 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were found about 92% these exhibited expression level dominance. Genes dominance category functionally characterized Kyoto Encyclopedia Genomes (KEGG) gene classifications...
(1) Background: Goose meat is highly valued for its economic significance and vast market potential due to desirable qualities, including a rich nutritional profile, tender texture, relatively low-fat content, high levels of beneficial unsaturated fatty acids. However, there an urgent need improve goose breeding by identifying molecular markers associated with quality. (2) Methods: We evaluated quality traits, such as color, shear force (SF), cooking loss rate (CLR), crude fat content (CFC),...
