Group A rotaviruses (RVA) are considered as important causative agents of diarrhea in both human and animal species. Fecal specimens (n = 300) were collected from diarrheic healthy animals during the year 2009 farms Nagpur (Maharashtra), Western India. RVA antigen was detected by ELISA 3.1-25% 72% bovine porcine species, respectively. Genotyping based on VP6, VP7 VP4 RVA-positive samples showed predominance genotype I-1 (63%) I-2 (37%), G4 (45.5%) G10 (27.3%) genotypes, P[6] (72.7%) P[8]...

1
Abstract

Motivation
The advent of inexpensive high-throughput sequencing (HTS) places new demands on motif discovery algorithms. To confront the challenges and embrace opportunities presented by growing wealth information tied up in HTS datasets, we developed K-mer multinomial mixtures (KMMMs), a flexible class Bayesian models for identifying multiple motifs sequence sets using tables. Advantages this framework are inference with time space complexities that only scale K,...

SUMMARYWe evaluated prospectively the utility of a latex agglutination technique for diagnosis Haemophilus influenzae type b meningitis in paediatric ward India. Eight 44 children had H. grown from cerebrospinal fluid. These proven cases plus four additional were detected by test. There no cross reactions with other organisms. The high degree sensitivity and specificity, combined speed simplicity this make it an appropriate method developing countries.
