The nature of martensitic phase transitions and its modification as a function composition application magnetic field have been studied in detail for Ni40Co10Mn40Sn10-xGax (x=0, 0.3, 0.4 0.5). transition temperature (TM) increases with increasing x. kinetic arrest (KA) the austenitic has observed x=0 which disappeared x>0.3. KA results decrease change magnetization (ΔM) across TM. However, isothermal entropy ΔS varies almost linearly [dTM/d(μ0H)]−1 (field-induced shift TM) irrespective...

Magnetic nanofibers were prepared by electrospinning polymer/metal solutions of poly(acrylonitrile) (PAN) with magnetite (Fe3O4) nanoparticles. At a mass ratio PAN:magnetite 2:1, the total solid content in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) solution was varied between 15 wt.% and 25 wt.%, which represents limits spinnable range. The results show that most homogeneous nanofiber mats 21 contents. contents, nano-membrane some fibrous regions produced. Nanofibers at had much larger more inhomogeneous...

Sigma factors are transcriptional regulators that part of complex regulatory networks for major cellular processes, as well growth phase-dependent regulation and stress response. Actinoplanes sp. SE50/110 is the natural producer acarbose, an α-glucosidase inhibitor used in diabetes type 2 treatment. Acarbose biosynthesis dependent on growth, making sigma factor engineering a promising tool metabolic engineering. ACSP50_0507 homolog developmental osmotic-stress-regulating Streptomyces...

In this review article, we conceptually investigated the requirements of magnetic nanoparticles for their application in biosensing and related them to example systems our thin-film portfolio. Analyzing intrinsic properties different phases, size range particles was determined, which is potential interest biosensor technology. Different e-beam lithography strategies are utilized identify possible ways realize small targeting range. Three particle from 500 μm 50 nm produced purpose, aiming at...

The nature of the phase transition has been studied in MnNi1-xCoxGe0.97Al0.03 (x=0.20-0.50) through magnetization, differential scanning calorimetry and X-ray diffraction measurements; associated reversibility magnetocaloric effect (MCE) examined. A small amount Al substitution for Ge can lower structural temperature, resulting a coupled first-order magnetostructural (MST) from ferromagnetic orthorhombic to paramagnetic hexagonal MnNi1-xCoxGe0.97Al0.03. Interestingly, composition-dependent...
