ABSTRACT Interoception, the internal perception of bodily states such as heartbeat and hunger, plays a crucial role in shaping cognitive emotional states. Since postural control affects processing, exploring effects on interoception could help uncover neural mechanisms underlying its cognition emotion. In this study, we aimed to investigate how different postures affect by using heartbeat‐evoked potentials (HEPs), which reflect cortical processing cardiac signals. Two experiments were...

Emotion affects postural control during quiet standing. Emotional states can be defined as two-dimensional models comprising valence (pleasant/unpleasant) and arousal (aroused/calm). Most previous studies have investigated the effects of on without considering arousal. In addition, focused center pressure (COP) trajectory to examine emotional standing control; however, relationship between neuromuscular mechanisms emotionally affected is largely unknown. This study aimed investigate COP...

Effects of fiber direction and temperature on mechanical properties glass short fiber-reinforced poly phenylene sulfide have been investigated. Tensile degraded with increasing the angle between tensile direction; θ, except elastic modulus. strength modulus decreased elongation increased increase temperature. The greatly varied at over Tg. pull-out peeling fibers were observed in case θ = 0° 90°, respectively. S-N diagram specimen 90° is approximated by two straight lines. At high stress...

Abstract Humans can adjust their walking patterns according to the demands of internal and external environments, referred as locomotor adaptation. Although significant functional coupling (i.e. cortico-muscular coherence [CMC]) has been shown between cortical lower-limb muscle activity during steady-state walking, little is known about CMC in Therefore, we investigated adaptation-dependent modulation sensorimotor region tibialis anterior using a split-belt adaptation paradigm that impose an...

Interoception, the internal perception of bodily states such as heartbeat and hunger, plays a crucial role in shaping cognitive emotional states. Given that postural control affects processing, exploring effects on interoception could help uncover neural mechanisms underlying its cognition emotion. In this study, we aimed to investigate how different postures affect by using heartbeat-evoked potentials (HEPs), which are event-related indicative processing cortex. The study included 21...

【Objective】The purpose of this study was to identify the factors that increase risk falling when carrying a handbag. Postural responses were compared with and without handbag subjects given simulated slip stimulus during walking on split-belt treadmill.【Subjects Methods】The 20 healthy adult males. The stimulation right foot at heel contact. three measurement conditions left handbag, empty-handed walking. A three-dimensional motion analysis system used record positional temporal information...

First-person shooting (FPS) games are one of the most famous video worldwide. Research has been conducted to investigate visual attention abilities FPS gameplayers by analyzing their gaze movements. However, previous studies have not investigated neurological characteristics in environments related real games. game players behavioral traits such as superior movements, likely based on characteristics. Thus, purpose current study was determine differences cortical activity between low- and...
