We have sequenced the genome of a second Drosophila species, pseudoobscura , and compared this to sequence melanogaster primary model organism. Throughout evolution vast majority genes remained on same chromosome arm, but within each arm gene order has been extensively reshuffled, leading minimum 921 syntenic blocks shared between species. A repetitive is found in D. at many junctions adjacent blocks. Analysis novel element family suggests that recombination offset elements may given rise...

Abstract Rampant activity of the hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF)-1 in cancer is frequently associated with malignant progression into a harder-to-treat, increasingly aggressive phenotype. Clearly, anti-HIF strategies cells are considerable clinical interest. One way to fine-tune, or inhibit, HIF's transcriptional outflow independently hydroxylase activities could be through competing transcription factors. A CACGTG-binding human hepatoma was previously found restrict access hypoxia response...

Robotic cells in industrial automation use different programming and description languages, which are typically almost hard-wired the program solutions do not allow a goal product to be changed easily. Using unification language allows focusing on solution itself. An independent of capabilities intentions offers way for changing also distributing process locations. Moreover, based description, knowledge model can created check if exists defined resource capabilities. If is implemented...
