We report the first measurement of charmed-hadron (D(0)) production via hadronic decay channel (D(0) → K(-) + π(+)) in Au+Au collisions at sqrt[s(NN)] = 200 GeV with STAR experiment. The charm cross section per nucleon-nucleon collision midrapidity scales number binary collisions, N(bin), from p+p to central collisions. D(0) meson yields Au are strongly suppressed compared those scaled by for transverse momenta p(T) > 3 GeV/c, demonstrating significant energy loss quarks hot and dense...

We report a new measurement of the midrapidity inclusive jet longitudinal double-spin asymmetry, A_{LL}, in polarized pp collisions at center-of-mass energy sqrt[s]=200 GeV. The STAR data place stringent constraints on parton distribution functions extracted next-to-leading order from global analyses deep-inelastic scattering (DIS), semi-inclusive DIS, and RHIC data. measured asymmetries provide evidence 3σ level for positive gluon polarization Bjorken-x region x>0.05.

Azimuthal angular correlations of charged hadrons with respect to the axis a reconstructed (trigger) jet in Au+Au and p+p collisions at √[s(NN)]=200 GeV STAR are presented. The trigger population is biased toward jets that have not interacted medium, allowing easier matching energies between while enhancing medium effects on recoil jet. associated hadron yield significantly suppressed high transverse momentum (pTassoc) enhanced low pTassoc 0%-20% central compared collisions, which indicative...

We report the observation of transverse polarization-dependent azimuthal correlations in charged pion pair production with STAR experiment p↑+p collisions at RHIC. These directly probe quark transversity distributions. measure signals excess 5 standard deviations high momenta, pseudorapidities η>0.5, and for masses around mass ρ meson. This is first direct measurement p+p collisions.Received 2 April 2015DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevLett.115.242501© 2015 American Physical Society

The differential cross section and spin asymmetries for neutral pions produced within the intermediate pseudorapidity range 0.8 < {\eta} 2.0 in polarized proton-proton collisions at sqrt{s} = 200 GeV are presented. Neutral were detected using endcap electromagnetic calorimeter STAR detector RHIC. was measured over a transverse momentum of 5 p_T 16 GeV/c is found to be scale uncertainty next-to-leading order perturbative QCD calculation. longitudinal double-spin asymmetry, A_LL, same range....

We report the first dijet transverse momentum asymmetry measurements from Au+Au and pp collisions at RHIC. The two highest-energy back-to-back jets reconstructed fragments with momenta above 2 GeV/c display a significantly higher imbalance in heavy-ion than reference. When reexamined correlated soft particles included, we observe that these dijets then exhibit unique new feature-momentum balance is restored to observed for jet resolution parameter of R=0.4, while rebalancing not attained...

We present measurements of 2$^{nd}$ order azimuthal anisotropy ($v_{2}$) at mid-rapidity $(|y|<1.0)$ for light nuclei d, t, $^{3}$He (for $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 200, 62.4, 39, 27, 19.6, 11.5, and 7.7 GeV) anti-nuclei $\bar{\rm d}$ ($\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ 19.6 $^{3}\bar{\rm He}$ 200 in the STAR (Solenoidal Tracker RHIC) experiment. Abstract The contemporary landscape sees the digital economy (DE) as a pivotal driver of economic evolution. Hence, scrutinising its potential to harmonise ‘efficiency promotion’ and ‘emission reduction’ combat challenges climate change in this epoch is imperative. This study empirically investigates influence DE growth by evaluating impact on carbon emission scale energy efficiency. employs econometric modelling delve into internal mechanisms diverse characteristics evolution that...
