Valve-in-ring procedures represent a feasible solution for high-risk patients with surgical repair failure. The risk of left ventricular outflow tract obstruction increases the challenge, and transcatheter approaches to prevent it are technically demanding often do not resolve it. We demonstrate feasibility safety transseptal balloon-assisted translocation anterior mitral leaflet valve-in-ring implantation.

This single-center, observational, prospective study evaluated the impact of patent foramen ovale (PFO) closure on migraine attacks over time.PFO may reduce frequency and severity headaches in patients with significant right-to-left shunts.Between May 2000 September 2009, 305 consecutive (mean age, 43 ± 12 years; 54.5% women) a prior embolic cerebrovascular event underwent PFO Amplatzer occluder for recurrence prevention. All had shunts; shunts were associated symptoms 77 (25%), either alone...

Severe mitral insufficiency is a feared complication that develops in 10-12% of patients with myocardial infarction and ST elevation. It results from the rupture papillary muscle or secondary to an acute remodelling left ventricle its entirety infarcted region. The mortality clinical onset reaches 50%. ideal treatment controversial still source debate. Most these are at high surgical risk inoperable; therefore, they treated conservatively have poor prognosis. In candidates, percutaneous edge...

Coronary artery disease affects over 5,000,000 people worldwide. Despite technology evolution and extension of indications drug-eluting bioresorbable stents, bare-metal stents play an important role to treat single lesions less than 15 mm length and/or greater 2.5 diameter. The REBEL™ stent is made from a new platinum–chromium alloy combined with customized architecture enhanced delivery system that allows improved performances this such as high radial axial strength lower recoil....
