Kenaf is an annual crop that widely cultivated as a source of bast (phloem) fibres, the phytoremediation heavy metal-contaminated farmlands and textile-relevant compounds. Leaf shape played unique role in kenaf improvement, due to inheritance single locus association with fibre development typical lobed-leaf varieties. Here we report high-quality genome assembly annotation for var. 'Fuhong 952' 1078 Mbp 66 004 protein-coding genes integrating single-molecule real-time sequencing,...

The fall armyworm, Spodoptera frugiperda (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), is a major maize pest worldwide and has caused huge economic loss. To explore the control tactics of S. in mountain planting fields, studies were performed China from 2020 to 2021 for screening frugiperda-resistant variety, seed coating agents, chemical insecticides, biological agents. results showed that 75 g/hm2 Emamectin benzoate had better controlling efficacy (with 91.05% at 1d) than other chemicals, so it was...

Abstract The run‐off volume altered by the construction of hydropower plants affects ecohydrological processes in catchments. Although impacts large have been well documented literature, few studies conducted on small cascaded (SCHPs). To evaluate SCHPs river flow, we chose a representative basin affected projects and, to lesser degree, other human activities, that is, Qiuxiang River Southern China. observed discharge and climate data during period 1958–2016 were investigated. datasets...

Quaternary ammonium compounds (QACs) are one type of widely used cationic biocide, and their usage amount is growing rapidly due to the flu COVID-19 pandemic. Many QACs were released into environment in or after course use, thus they detected water, sediment, soil, other environmental media. have stronger surface activity non-specific biotoxicity, which poses a potential threat ecosystem. In this study, fate toxicity documented terms migration transformation process, biological effects, main...

Abstract Cellulose is one of the main chemical component bast fibre in jute. However, quantitative trait loci (QTL) for cellulose content remains elusive. In this study, we identified 846 new SSR markers from 70,792 unigenes NCBI and validated them a panel 24 diverse jute accessions. Of SSRs, 748 (88.41%) were successfully amplified, 585 (69.14%) showed polymorphisms, implying that these are high‐quality SSRs. Furthermore, SSRs along with 5,074 polymorphic SLAF (specific locus amplified...

<p indent=0mm>It is important to construct and study the applied core collection in order promote jute genetic breeding explore excellent genes. In this study, jute, including 61 accessions divided into 16 application-oriented features, such as high yield, quality, disease resistance so on, was established based on field performance from 300 germplasm. 12 fluorescent primers were screened 46 pairs of primers. Fluorescence labeled capillary electrophoresis used analyze polymorphism these...
