AbstractAbstractAn attempt is made to model the transition from upper lower bainite in steels, based on hypothesis that bainitic ferrite grows with a supersaturation of carbon solid solution. The theory involves comparison between time required reject excess into residual austenite by diffusion and obtain detectable degree cementite precipitation ferrite. If process relatively rapid, then it assumed obtained. results are found be broad agreement published experimental data.MST/1095

Some applications of phase transformation theory towards the exploitation bainitic microstructures are discussed, with particular emphasis on quantitative aspects alloying element effects. Examples used to illustrate principles involved in design advanced alloys type currently under investigation steel industry.

Hydrolysis of intracellular cholesterol ester (CE) is the key step in reverse transport macrophage foam cells. We have recently shown that neutral hydrolase (Nceh)1 and hormone-sensitive lipase (Lipe) are regulators this process mouse macrophages. However, it remains unknown which enzyme critical human macrophages atherosclerosis. We aimed to identify responsible for CE hydrolysis determine its expression compared NCEH1, LIPE, (CES1) monocyte-derived (HMMs) examined effects inhibition or...

Lath-shaped upper bainite structures play a very important role in many high-strength steels (HSSs) and ultra (UHSSs). Although transformation is strongly affected by the initial structure, effect of second phase multi-phase structure yet to be clearly understood. It significant for advancement UHSS study this effect. The aim clarify martensite, which forms before bainite, Fe-0.2C-8Ni alloy. from an austenite martensite dual-phase faster than that single-phase nucleation bainitic ferrite...

Though as-quenched martensite exhibits a low uniform elongation in tension, it is highlighted that this phase has very high strain-hardening which increases with carbon content and large Bauschinger effect. Because usual dislocation storage can not explain reasonably particular behaviour, an approach based on continuum composite view of (CCA) developed suitable to capture all the experimental features.

An excess of cholesterol and/or oxysterols induces apoptosis in macrophages, contributing to the development advanced atherosclerotic lesions. In foam cells, these sterols are stored esterified forms, which hydrolyzed by two enzymes: neutral ester hydrolase 1 (Nceh1) and hormone-sensitive lipase (Lipe). A deficiency either enzyme leads accelerated growth lesions mice. However, it is poorly understood how esterification hydrolysis linked apoptosis. Remarkably, Nceh1-deficient...
