Random numbers are vital in cryptography, simulation modeling, and gambling. This study presents a scheme for multi-bit quantum random number generator utilizing X-ray radiation. Using homemade multi-pixel single-photon detector array, we extract randomness from three modes of radiation: arrival time, spatial position, polarization direction. We employ the Toeplitz Matrix Hashing extractor distillation, resulting extraction 40.4 million bits at rate 33.7 per photon. The generated pass all...

A door-to-door survey was carried out in a well-defined population of Beijing to determine the prevalence and incidence cerebrovascular disease (CVD) among 10,941 individuals. The included complete census, together with pretested interview brief screening examination high level sensitivity for detecting individuals CVD. All those responses or findings suggestive CVD were requested be examined by neurologist using defined clinical criteria establish diagnosis. There 100% cooperation...

The microstructure, electrical resistivity, and thermal diffusivity of nickel‐zirconia cermets have been studied. Scanning electron microscopy the fracture surfaces samples shows that there are some small isolated nickel granules adhering to surface zirconia particles. Considering such a microstructural feature law mixtures, an improved model for conductivity is established. With this model, experimental results‐that increase with increasing content‐are interpreted. Moreover, observed be...

The "K2O–Na2O" binary and "K2O–Na2O–Li2O" ternary flux systems on the densification behaviors of porcelain building ceramic were analyzed. results showed that when K2O Na2O content equivalently replaced by Li2O content, sintering temperature samples was reduced to 1090–1130 °C, which is lower than sample (1130–1160 °C). corresponding range widened from 30 40 thus bending strength increased 3.5 %. energy spectrometer system frit simulation indicate has more Al2O3 SiO2 in glass phase those...

The reference-frame-independent quantum key distribution (RFI-QKD) protocol enables QKD systems to function effectively despite slowly varying reference frames, offering a distinct advantage in practical scenarios, particularly mobile platforms. In this study, we successfully distribute secure bits over 250 km optical fiber distance by developing an RFI-QKD system with repetition rate of 150 MHz. Benefiting from high rate, achieve finite-key secret 49.65 bit/s at 200 km, which is more than...

Abstract Iron rhenate was compounded by a chemical method, which can be reproduced during the wear process of Fe‐Re alloys at elevated temperatures. The friction coefficient iron determined using five types ball material (Si 3 N 4 , Al 2 O glass, 440 C, and Hast C) matching seven disc (Al 761 base superalloy, stainless steel, bronze, copper, Al‐Li), ball‐on‐disc device. results show that plays role in lubrication from room temperature to 600°C. behaviour is related nature pairs: hardness...

By using HPGe γ-ray spectrometry, the activity of long-lived fission product 126Sn in a SnOB2 sample was measured. The number atoms and ratio to Sn were calculated based on half-life value 2.35×105a chemical stoichiometry. result Sn, (1.033±0.037)×10−8, is consistent with results measured by accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) within uncertainty limits, which confirms our procedures measurement AMS lays foundation for at much lower levels.
