Abstract Background Approximately 10-20% of patients with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM) undergoing alcohol septal ablation (ASA) exhibit a suboptimal response, despite accurate targeting the artery. This response may be due to structural and functional factors related mitral valve left ventricular (LV) dimensions. Currently, there is lack specific parameters or cutoffs predict ASA success. The aorto-mitral angle crucial for predicting systolic anterior motion (SAM) in repair...

Background: Cardiomyopathies (CMs) represent a heterogeneous group of primary myocardial diseases characterized by structural and functional abnormalities. They one the leading causes cardiac transplantations death in young individuals. Clinically they vary from asymptomatic to symptomatic heart failure, with high risk sudden due malignant arrhythmias. With increasing availability genetic testing, significant number affected people are found have an underlying etiology. However, awareness...

Dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) represents a group of disorders affecting the structure and function heart muscle, leading to high risk failure sudden cardiac death (SCD). DCM frequently involves an underlying genetic etiology. Genetic testing is valuable for stratification, treatment decisions, family screening. Romanian population data on etiology are lacking. We aimed investigate causes among adult patients at tertiary referral centers across country. Clinical investigations were performed...

Background: Genetic testing in cardiomyopathies has a great impact on diagnosis and further management. Considering novel technologies developed for DNA sequencing, it is important to understand the indication limits of genetic available, while taking cost-efficiency into account. Aim: The focus this review summarize current approach order determine best patient pathway reaching diagnosis. Methods: For narrative review, we performed search several electronic databases, selected evaluated...

Arterial stiffness is classified as a useful marker of early vascular damaging and predictor cardiovascular events in young people. We aimed to present the efficacy non invasive device diseases prevention. Using Arteriograph device, it was performed cross sectional, non-invasive study 313 healthy students. Non-invasive screening apparently subjects with high WTH ratio values may be beneficial for detecting early, asymptomatic arterial atherosclerosis.

Abstract Funding Acknowledgements Type of funding sources: None. Background The mitral valve (MV) has an important contribution to left ventricular outflow tract obstruction (LVOTO) in patients with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM). Several parameters were described be significantly different between and non-obstructive forms HCM, like the aortomitral angle, anterior leaflet (AML) LVOT size, displacement coaptation line, annular related parameters, etc. redundant length AML...
