Pyrolysis is an important way to deal with spent lithium ion batteries (LIBs). This study investigated the pyrolysis process and behaviors of main components in LIBs. Kinetic studies on LIBs were conducted using isoconversional method. The could be classified into four stages average active energy was 85.36 kJ/mol. After process, more than 96 wt % electrolyte, about 88 separator, 50 poly(vinylidene difluoride) converted pyrolytic gas oil, which mainly composed small molecular compounds, such...

Herein, we, for the first time, report a high spin Co-Fe Prussian blue analogue (Co-Fe PBA) as highly efficient Fenton-like catalyst sulfate radical (SO4˙-) production. Our experiments and density functional theory (DFT) calculations show that largely elongated SO4-OH bond length, strengthened adsorption facilitated electron transfer peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activation catalyzed by high-spin (HS) CoII are main factors contributing to its excellent activity.

Controllable synthesis of metal-organic frameworks with well-defined morphology, composition, and size is great importance toward understanding their structure-property relationship in various applications. Herein, we demonstrate a general strategy to modulate the relative growth rate secondary building units (SBUs) along different crystal facets for Fe-Co, Mn0.5Fe0.5-Co, Mn-Co Prussian blue analogues (PBAs) tunable morphologies. The same SBUs {100}, {110}, {111} surfaces at 0 °C results...

Magnetosomes are magnetic nanocrystals synthesized by bacteria that have important application value in biomedicine. Therefore, it is very to evaluate their biocompatibility. It has been reported the extremophilic acidophilic bacterium Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans, which aerobic, can synthesize intracellular Fe3O4 magnetosomes. In this paper, we performed a comprehensive and systematic evaluation of biocompatibility magnetosomes with an average particle size 53.66 nm from including...

During bornite (bio)leaching, the relationship between production of intermediate products and redox potential is unknown. In this study, a series electrochemical tests surface analytical methods were adopted to investigate dissolution natural formation sulfur species on surface. Electrochemical demonstrated that experienced three distinct variations over broad anodic (300–800 mV (vs Ag/AgCl)): "activation" (< 400 Ag/AgCl)), "passivation" (400–700 "transpassivation" (> 700 Ag/AgCl)). XPS...

Particle image velocimetry (PIV) was applied to estimate the velocity field on a weld pool surface with an oxide layer. A positive tension gradient drives inward flow pattern from boundary centre of pool, resulting in particles collecting line at surface. Unsteady motions were observed by experimental visualisation particle flow, and computed shows strong unsteady interfacial movement during flow. These are related clockwise counterclockwise vortices surface, which turn affect both mass...

Different effects and mechanisms of visible light silver ions (Ag+) on the bioleaching p- n-type chalcopyrite (Cpy A Cpy B, respectively) in presence Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans were investigated. The semiconductor characteristics, behaviors, surface morphologies, main phases species evaluated by Hall effect test, tests, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope photoelectron spectroscopy. According to results, had a higher carrier concentration greater mobility than resulting...
