A series of MnI complexes containing lutidine-based chiral pincer ligands with modular and tunable structures has been developed. The complex shows unprecedentedly high activities (up to 9800 TON; TON=turnover number), broad substrate scope (81 examples), good functional-group tolerance, excellent enantioselectivities (85-98 % ee) in the hydrogenation various ketones. These aspects are rare earth-abundant metal catalyzed hydrogenations. utility protocol have demonstrated asymmetric synthesis...

Activation of the serine-threonine kinase Akt promotes survival and proliferation various cancers. Hypoxia resistance tumor cells to specific therapies. We therefore explored a possible link between hypoxia activity. found that was prolyl-hydroxylated by oxygen-dependent hydroxylase EglN1. The von Hippel-Lindau protein (pVHL) bound directly hydroxylated inhibited In lacking oxygen or functional pVHL, activated promote cell tumorigenesis. also identified cancer-associated mutations impair...

Abstract A Mn‐catalyzed diastereo‐ and enantioselective hydrogenation of α‐substituted β‐ketoamides has been realized for the first time under dynamic kinetic resolution conditions. anti ‐α‐Substituted β‐hydroxy amides, which are useful building blocks synthesis bioactive molecules chiral drugs, were prepared in high yields with excellent selectivity (up to >99 % dr ee ) unprecedentedly activity (TON up 10000). The origin stereoselectivity was clarified by DFT calculations.

A facile approach for the synthesis of enantiopure γ-amino nitriles by copper-catalyzed aminocyanation arylcyclopropanes is disclosed, which undergoes highly enantioselective ring-opening reaction cyclopropanes. The strategy utilizes N-fluorobenzenesulfonimide as nucleophilic nitrogen source well oxidant and trimethylsilyl cyanide other nucleophile, it probably operates via a key radical cation intermediate. This provides an efficient platform asymmetric 1,3-difunctionalization

Photoredox/nickel-catalyzed enantioconvergent acyl cross-coupling of carboxylic derivatives with racemic secondary organotrifluoroborate was developed for the synthesis an enolizable chiral α-aryl ketone under mild neutral conditions. Moderate to high yields and good enantioselectivities were achieved.

DETQ, an allosteric potentiator of the dopamine D1 receptor, was tested in therapeutic models that were known to respond agonists. Because a species difference affinity for all rodent experiments used transgenic mice expressing human receptor (hD1 mice). When given alone, DETQ reversed locomotor depression caused by low dose reserpine. also acted synergistically with L-DOPA reverse strong hypokinesia seen higher These results indicate potential as both monotherapy and adjunct treatment...

Various classes of plant pathogenesis-related (PR) proteins have been identified in the past several decades. PR-Q, a member PR3 family encoding chitinases, has played an important role regulating resistance and preventing pathogen infection. In this paper, we functionally characterized NtPR-Q tobacco plants found that overexpression Yunyan87 resulted higher to R. solanacearum inoculation. Surprisingly, led activation many defense-related genes, such as SA-responsive genes NtPR1a/c, NtPR2...
