An analog-to-digital converter is developed based on the charge-balancing principle. It consists of a switched-capacitor integrator, comparator, and digital logic circuit. Driven by two phase clock, integrator accumulates consecutively incremental signal charge while extracting quantized reference from accumulated each time its output becomes positive, to keep their balance. The ratio between extracted frequencies for given period then provides representation an input analog signal. A...

Abstract We have studied the transmission of surface acoustic waves (SAWs) in ferromagnetic/non-magnetic/ferromagnetic tryilayers. The SAW scattering matrix is for devices with various non-magnetic spacer thickness, which defines strength interlayer exchange coupling. find amplitude depends on its propagation direction when two ferromagnetic layers are coupled antiferromagnetically. degree such nonreciprocity increases increasing coupling and reaches 37 dB mm −1 a device thinnest layer....

We succeeded in fabricating a CoFeB/MgO-based magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ) directly on an organic flexible substrate. The MTJ shows good strain endurance while keeping the magnetoresistance (TMR) ratio of ∼100% under various strained conditions; TMR is almost unchanged up to tensile 1.2%. Because magnetoelastic effect, anisotropy fields for top and bottom CoFeB layers are linearly proportional with same rate as that single film, suggesting expected added both pillar from stretched

We have demonstrated that the strain direction can be detected sensitively using an exchange-biased spin valve (SV) formed on a flexible substrate. The giant magnetoresistive SV used here contains strain-sensitive Co free layer and strain-insensitive NiFe pinned layer. exchange bias is imparted from antiferromagnetic FeMn stacked When applied in deviating field, magnetization rotates along this directly only, resulting resistance change. Compared to previously reported pseudo SV, present...

We have demonstrated a reversible control of magnetic anisotropy in Pt/Co and Pd/Co structures formed on polyethylene naphthalate flexible substrate by stretching the biaxially. Compared with case uniaxial tensile strain, which has been previously studied, in-plane biaxial strain produces much larger compressive normal to plane, resulting significant modulation perpendicular anisotropy. found easy axis switching from out-of-plane applying up 2% strain.
