We identified from suckling piglets with diarrhea in China a new bat-HKU2-like porcine coronavirus (porcine enteric alphacoronavirus). The GDS04 strain of this shares high aa identities (>90%) the reported bat-HKU2 strains Coronaviridae-wide conserved domains, suggesting that belongs to same species as HKU2.

Chronic hepatitis B (CHB) is characterized by functionally impaired virus‐specific CD 8 + T ‐cell responses. However, the mechanism underlying this dysfunction has not been fully clarified. We examined role of a newly identified protein, immunoglobulin domain and mucin domain‐containing molecule‐3 ( im‐3), in regulating antiviral response CHB patients. im‐3 expression on peripheral cells from 20 patients healthy controls was determined flow cytometry. The phenotypes cytokine‐producing...

An outbreak of egg drop disease occurred in many chicken and goose farms China 2011. By using an NS5-specific reverse transcriptase PCR (RT-PCR), we found that 56% 38% samples were positive for Tembusu-like virus (TMUV). Isolates showed high sequence homology to duck TMUVs, chickens geese signs after experimental infection with TMUV. Our data suggest TMUV has adapted domestic birds.

In this study, oil-in-water emulsions made of medium-chain triglycerides (MCT), mucilage from Dioscorea opposita (DOM), and food-grade polysaccharides (guar gum [GG], xanthan [XG] pectin [Pec]) were prepared using high-pressure homogenisation. The droplet size distributions, microstructure, turbidity, interfacial tension, creaming index, stability investigated compared with those DOM, GG, XG Pec. results showed that 0.4 wt% (GG, XG, Pec) 2 DOM contributed more to the emulsion during storage....

Porcine deltacoronavirus (PDCoV) is a newly identified virus that causes watery diarrhea in newborn piglets and results significant economic losses to the pig industry. Since first reported Hong Kong 2012, PDCoV has been subsequently detected USA, South Korea, Thailand, mainland China. Here we isolated strain of PDCoV, named CHN-GD-2016, from intestinal content diseased piglet with severe farm Guangdong, CHN-GD-2016 could be by immunofluorescence specific rabbit antisera, typical...

Fowl adenoviruses (FAdVs) are associated with many diseases, resulting in huge economic losses to the poultry industry worldwide. Since 2015, outbreaks of FAdV infections high mortality rates have been reported China. A continued surveillance FAdVs contributes understand epidemiology viruses. We isolated 155 strains from diseased chickens China between 2015 and 2018. PCR analysis determined that 123 samples were species C, 27 E, five contained two different strains. The phylogenetic...

Bisphenol A (BPA), a ubiquitous endocrine-disrupting chemical, is commonly used as plasticizer to manufacture various food packaging materials. Evidence has demonstrated that BPA disturbed bone health. However, few studies focused on the effect of osteocytes, making up over 95% all cells. Here, we reported inhibited cell viability MLO-Y4 cells, and increased apoptosis in dose-dependent manner. Furthermore, up-regulated protein expressions speck-like containing CARD (ASC), NLRP3, cleaved...

Porcine enteric alphacoronavirus (PEAV) was first discovered in China February 2017, and the origin virulence of this novel porcine coronavirus were not fully characterized. Here, we isolated a strain PEAV, named GDS04 that is identified by immunofluorescence typical crown-shaped particles observed with electron microscopy. Genomic analysis reveals PEAV shares close relationship SADS-CoV SeACoV. Furthermore, newborn piglets orally challenged developed clinical symptoms as watery diarrhoea...
