Ikaros/IKZF1 is an essential transcription factor expressed throughout hematopoiesis. IKZF1 implicated in lymphocyte and myeloid differentiation negative regulation of cell proliferation. In humans, somatic mutations have been linked to the development B acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) children adults. Recently, heterozygous germline identified patients with a immune deficiency mimicking common variable immunodeficiency. These demonstrated incomplete penetrance led haploinsufficiency....

An outbreak of egg drop disease occurred in many chicken and goose farms China 2011. By using an NS5-specific reverse transcriptase PCR (RT-PCR), we found that 56% 38% samples were positive for Tembusu-like virus (TMUV). Isolates showed high sequence homology to duck TMUVs, chickens geese signs after experimental infection with TMUV. Our data suggest TMUV has adapted domestic birds.

ZBP1-modulated localization of β-actin mRNA enables a cell to establish polarity and structural asymmetry. Although the mechanism has been well established, underlying how specific molecular motor contributes transport ZBP1 (also known as IGF2BP1) complex in non-neuronal cells remains elusive. In this study, we report isolation identification KIF11, microtubule motor, which physically interacts with is component messenger ribonucleoprotein particles (mRNPs). We show that KIF11 colocalizes...

Abstract Long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) represents a class of endogenous RNAs that regulate gene expression in eukaryotes. To date, the function and underlying mechanism majority mammalian lncRNAs remain unknown. Here, we report MACC1-AS1, cognate antisense lncRNA sixth intron MACC1 gene, functions as cell growth modulator enhances breast tumor progress. pulldown luciferase assays showed MACC1-AS1 contained binding sites for multiple miRNAs, including well-known suppressors miR-384 miR-145-3p...

Long noncoding RNAs (LncRNAs) represent a class of widespread and diverse endogenous that can posttranscriptionally regulate gene expression through the interaction with RNA-binding proteins micro (miRNAs). Here, we report in breast carcinoma cells, insulin-like growth factor 2 messenger RNA binding protein (IMP1) binds to lncRNA urethral carcinoma-associated 1 (UCA1) suppresses UCA1-induced invasive phenotype. RT-qPCR sequence assays were used investigate UCA1 miRNAs cancer cells response...

TFPI-2 has been recognized as a potent tumor suppressor gene. Low expression of results in enhanced growth and metastasis variety human tumors. In the present study, we investigated mechanism responsible for suppressive effect TFPI-2. Overexpression decreased phosphorylation ERK1/2 translocation p-ERK1/2 from cytoplasm into nucleus, eventually resulted reduced cell proliferation. Immunoprecipitation assays identified myosin-9 actinin-4 TFPI-2-interacting proteins. Full-length was required...

Avian Tembusu virus (ATMUV) is a newly emerged flavivirus that belongs to the Ntaya group. ATMUV highly pathogenic causing significant economic loss Chinese poultry industry. However, little known about role of host innate immune mechanism in defending against infection. In this study, we found infection significantly up-regulated expression type I and III interferons (IFN) some critical IFN-stimulated genes (ISG) vivo vitro. This response was induced by genomic RNA ATMUV. Furthermore,...

Ebola virus (EBOV) causes deadly disease (EVD), and EVD survivors are at high risk of developing blinding ocular complications, which associate with the breakdown human retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) barrier. Here, we demonstrated EBOV glycoprotein (GP) could directly impair RPE barrier function. GP significantly decreased expression tight junction (TJ) proteins in monolayers, resulting an increase monolayer permeability. activated PI3K/Akt pathway induced oxidative stress cells as...

We report a novel goose parvovirus (MDGPV/PT) isolated from an affected Muscovy duck in Fujian Province, China. In this study, the NS1 sequence analyses indicated close genetic relationship between MDGPV/PT and (MDPV) strains, although MDGPV/DY, which was 2006 Sichuan could be divided into GPV-related groups. Phylogenetic analysis showed that except for differences gene, MDGPV strains PT DY are closely related to infects domestic waterfowls. This is first demonstration of recombination...

Avian Tembusu virus (ATMUV) is a highly pathogenic flavivirus that causes significant economic losses to the Chinese poultry industry. Our previous experiments demonstrated ATMUV infection effectively triggered host innate immune response through MDA5 and TLR3-dependent signaling pathways. However, little information available on role of interferon-stimulated genes (ISGs) in defending against infection. In this study, we found induced robust expression type I III interferon (IFNs) duck...
