Background Photon-counting detector (PCD) CT provides comprehensive spectral data with every acquisition, but studies evaluating myocardial extracellular volume (ECV) quantification use of PCD compared an MRI reference remain lacking. Purpose To compare ECV for tissue characterization between a first-generation system and cardiac MRI. Materials Methods In this single-center prospective study, adults without contraindication to iodine-based contrast media underwent same-day native...

To compare coronary artery calcium volume and score (CACS) between photon-counting detector (PCD) conventional energy integrating (EID) computed tomography (CT) in a phantom prospective patient study. A commercially available CACS was scanned with standard protocol (120 kVp, slice thickness/increment 3/1.5 mm, quantitative Qr36 kernel), filtered back projection on the EID-CT, monoenergetic reconstruction at 70 keV quantum iterative off PCD-CT. The same settings were used to prospectively...

Photon-counting detector computed tomography (PCD-CT) may influence imaging characteristics for various clinical conditions due to higher signal and contrast-to-noise ratio in virtual monoenergetic images (VMI). Radiomics analysis relies on quantification of image characteristics. We evaluated the impact different VMI reconstructions radiomic features vitro vivo PCD-CT datasets. An organic phantom consisting twelve samples (four oranges, four onions, apples) was scanned five times....

This study aimed to evaluate the accuracy and efficiency of ChatGPT-3.5, ChatGPT-4o, Google Gemini, Gemini Advanced in generating CAD-RADS scores based on radiology reports. retrospective analyzed 100 consecutive coronary computed tomography angiography reports performed between March 15, 2024, April 1, at a single tertiary center. Each report containing radiologist-assigned score was processed using four large language models (LLMs) without fine-tuning. The findings section each input into...

Introduction: Myocardial viability refers to a phenomenon in which dysfunctional myocardium, due acute or chronic ischaemia, retains the potential recover its systolic function after revascularisation. The assessment of myocardial using Contrast-enhanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging (CEMRI) has become quintessential imaging method for guidance treatment patients with Infarction (MI). Aim: To assess cardiac morphology, function, perfusion and ischaemic heart disease, stratify into conservative...

Over one-half of all cancer patients receive radiation therapy (RT). However, exposure to the heart can cause cardiotoxicity. Nevertheless, there is a paucity data on RT-induced cardiac damage, with limited understanding safe regional RT doses, early detection, prevention, and management. A common initial feature cardiotoxicity asymptomatic dysfunction, which, if left untreated, may progress failure. The current paradigm for detection management relies primarily upon assessment ejection...

Abstract Tuberculosis of the orbit is rare, even in places where tuberculosis endemic. The disease may involve soft tissue, lacrimal gland, or periosteum bones orbital wall. Intracranial extension, form extradural abscess, and infratemporal fossa extension has been described. This pictorial essay illustrates imaging findings nine histopathologically confirmed cases tuberculosis. All these patients responded to antituberculous treatment.

Cardiac myxoma is the most common primary cardiac neoplasm. It a benign tumor that typically arises in left atrium, specifically from interatrial septum adjacent to fossa ovalis. We present case of 71-year-old male presenting with hematuria was incidentally found have atrial on CT urogram. Follow-up and MRI heart demonstrated findings compatible myxoma.
