The mechanism behind parathyroid hormone (PTH) activation of bone remodeling is intimately dependent on the time exposure cells to levels. Sustained high PTH levels trigger catabolism, while transitory elevations induce anabolism. effects hypoparathyroidism (PhPT) are unknown. objective was study impact PhPT mineral density (BMD), frequency subclinical vertebral fracture and mandible morphometry. The comprised thirty-three postmenopausal women, 17 controls (CG) 16 with (PhPTG) matched for...

The neurodiagnostic criteria of Leigh syndrome have not yet been clearly redefined based on the expanding molecular etiologies. We aimed to analyze 20 years clinical, genetic, and magnetic resonance studies from our cohort provide a detailed description central nervous system lesions in their biological evolution view genetic clinical findings. Our study adds new insights current knowledge syndrome, including association with overlapping syndromes, correlation pathogenic variants...

Invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) and neoplasia (LN) are two distinct conditions that still pose challenges regarding to their classification, diagnosis management. Although they share similar cellular characteristics, such as discohesive neoplastic cells absence of e-cadherin staining, represent completely different conditions. LN encompasses atypical hyperplasia (ALH) in situ (LCIS), which currently considered risk factors non-obligatory precursors breast neoplasia. These lesions diagnosed...

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE:
Subpial hemorrhage is an underrecognized type of hemorrhagic stroke primarily affecting neonates. Blood accumulation in the impermeable pia mater compresses adjacent cortex, leading to injury. The consequences this remain poorly understood. study aims evaluate association between imaging findings and neurological outcomes at follow-up neonates with subpial hemorrhage.
MATERIALS METHODS:
We retrospectively included suspected who...

CHARGE is a syndrome that affects the brain, eyes, ears, heart, face, and genitourinary system. Prenatal diagnosis could optimize counseling, delivery planning, therapeutic interventions; however, reports of associated fetal neuroimaging features are scarce. While some findings nonspecific, olfactory, inner ear, skull base anomalies commonly present may be observable at time imaging. We sought to determine scope prenatal CNS MRI in with emphasis on not included diagnostic criteria for...

The subarachnoid space is an important component of the developing intracranial compartment. As fetal brain MRI becoming more commonplace for early CNS disease diagnosis, it imperative to determine age-based standards normal depth. We aim provide 2D reference measurements supratentorial spaces in apparently healthy mid and later second-trimester fetuses. In this cross-sectional study, we included all singleton MRIs between gestational weeks 19 27 without visible pathologies. frontal,...

Ventricular septal rupture (VSR) after myocardial infarction (MI) is a rare but life-threatening complication. Although surgery the gold standard treatment, best surgical timing still matter of debate. Studies are showing tendency towards survival improvement with delayed intervention on assumption that scarring infarcted tissue may facilitate patch suturing and avoid relapse defect. Mechanical circulatory support (MCS) be useful, not only for hemodynamic stabilisation optimization before...
