A novel coumarin-based fluorogenic probe bearing the 2-picolyl unit (1) was developed as a fluorescent chemosensor with high selectivity and suitable affinity in biological systems toward Cu2+ over other cations tested. The fluorescence on−off mechanism studied by femtosecond time-resolved (TRF) upconversion technique ab initio calculations. receptor can be applied to monitoring of ion aqueous solution pH span 4−10. To confirm suitability 1 for applications, we also employed it detection...

A novel tren-based tripodal chemosensor 1 bearing a rhodamine and two tosyl groups was synthesized its sensing behavior toward metal ions investigated by UV/vis fluorescence spectroscopies. Addition of Hg2+ ion to CH3CN solution gave visual color change as well significantly enhanced fluorescence, while other including Pb2+, Zn2+, Cu2+, Ca2+, Ba2+, Cd2+, Co2+, Mg2+, Ag+, Cs+, Li+, Na+ induced no or much smaller color/spectral changes, which constituted Hg2+-selective fluorescent (OFF-ON).

Abstract Purpose: This study aimed to develop an Arg-Gly-Asp (RGD) peptide-labeled chitosan nanoparticle (RGD-CH-NP) as a novel tumor targeted delivery system for short interfering RNA (siRNA). Experimental Design: RGD peptide conjugated with by thiolation reaction was confirmed proton-NMR (H-NMR). Binding of RGD-CH-NP ανβ3 integrin examined flow cytometry and fluorescence microscopy. Antitumor efficacy in orthotopic mouse models ovarian carcinoma. Results: We show that loaded siRNA...

A novel calix[4]arene-based chemosensor 1 based on Hg2+-induced fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) was synthesized, and its sensing behavior toward metal ions investigated by UV/vis spectroscopies. Addition of Hg2+ to a CH3CN solution gave significantly enhanced at ∼575 nm via (FRET-ON) from the pyrenyl excimer ring-opened rhodamine moiety. In contrast, addition Al3+ induced distinct increase emission (∼475 nm), while no obvious FRET-ON phenomenon observed. Different binding...

1,3-Alternate calix[4]arene-based fluorescent chemosensors bearing two-photon absorbing chromophores have been synthesized, and their sensing behaviors toward metal ions were investigated via absorption band shifts as well one- fluorescence changes. Free ligands absorb the light at 461 nm weakly emit 600 when excited by UV−vis radiation nm, but no is emitted excitation 780 nm. Addition of an Al3+ or Pb2+ ion to a solution ligand causes blue-shifted enhanced due declined resonance energy...

Background We compared the treatment outcomes of stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) and metastasectomy in patients with pulmonary metastases. Methods Twenty‐one received SBRT (total radiation doses 60 Gy 3 fractions or 48 4 fractions) 30 underwent metastasectomy, most (93.3%) wedge resection. The were followed for a median 13.7 months. tumor size group was larger than (median 2.5 vs. 1.25 cm; P = 0.015). Patients synchronous metastases more likely to be treated ( 0.006). Results There no...
