Abstract Introduction of microfluidic mixing technique opens a new door for preparation the liposomes and lipid-based nanoparticles by on-chip technologies that are applicable in laboratory industrial scale. This study demonstrates role phospholipid bilayer fragment as key intermediate mechanism liposome formation channel with “herring-bone” geometry used instrument NanoAssemblr. The fluidity lipid expressed fluorescence anisotropy probe N,N,N-Trimethyl-4-(6-phenyl-1,3,5-hexatrien-1-yl) was...

Abstract “Mitocans” from the vitamin E group of selective anticancer drugs, α-tocopheryl succinate (α-TOS) and its ether analogue α-TEA, triggered apoptosis in proliferating but not arrested endothelial cells. Angiogenic cells exposed to analogues, unlike their counterparts, readily accumulated reactive oxygen species (ROS) by interfering with mitochondrial redox chain activating intrinsic apoptotic pathway. The analogues inhibited angiogenesis vitro as assessed using “wound-healing”...

Two soluble enzymes (FerA and FerB) catalyzing the reduction of a number iron(III) complexes by NADH, were purified to near homogeneity from aerobically grown iron-limited culture Paracoccus denitrificans using combination anion-exchange chromatography (Sepharose Q), chromatofocusing (Mono P), gel permeation (Superose 12). FerA is monomer with molecular mass 19 kDa, whereas FerB exhibited about 55 kDa consists probably two identical subunits. can be classified as an NADH:flavin...

Carbon-based nanomaterials (C-BNM) have recently attracted an increased attention as the materials with potential applications in industry and medicine. Bioresistance proinflammatory of C-BNM is main obstacle for their medicinal application which was documented vivo vitro. However, there are still limited data especially on graphene derivatives such platelets (GP). In this work, we compared multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) two different types pristine GP to activate inflammasome NLRP3...

Procedure of the synthesis is described for new platinum(IV) drug LA-12 [(OC-6-43)-bis(acetato)(1-adamantylamine)amminedichloroplatinum(IV)]. The X-ray diffraction analysis shows that structure created by molecules with octahedral arrangement ligands around a platinum atom and contains one H(2)O molecule not part coordination sphere platinum. This more reactive glutathione than cisplatin lacking cross-resistance as proven on panel cancer cell lines.

Candida glabrata is a second most common human opportunistic pathogen which causes superficial but also life-threatening systemic candidosis. According to the localisation of mannans and mannoproteins in outermost layer cell wall, mannan detection could be one first steps recognition cells by host innate immune system. Mannans from wall provide important immunomodulatory activities, comprising stimulation cytokine production, induction dendritic (DCs) maturation T-cell immunity. The model...
