We report a size-controllable and low-cost fabrication method of graphene quantum dots (GQDs) using thermal plasma jet. A carbon atomic beam was generated by injecting large amount (2.5 L/min) ethylene gas continuously into Ar plasma. The then flowed through tube (5-20 cm in length) attached to the anode dispersed chamber. Carbon materials including GQDs were made phase collision reaction. production rate soot 40 g/h for 2.5 L/min injection rate. Almost all ethanol sonication, while isolated...
Carbon nanotube fibers (CNTFs) are directly spun from a floating-catalyst chemical vapor deposition apparatus using gas-phase carbon and an iron nanocatalyst. The essential synthesis post-treatment factors that affect the strength of CNTFs investigated to obtain with greater than those any previously reported high-performance fibers. key optimized included degree rotational flow inside reactor, ratio starting materials, postsynthesis treatment conditions. formation gas reactor was confirmed...
Fingerprints are unique to primates and koalas but what advantages do these features of our hands feet provide us compared with the smooth pads carnivorans, e.g., feline or ursine species? It has been argued that epidermal ridges on finger decrease friction when in contact surfaces, promote interlocking rough channel excess water, prevent blistering, enhance tactile sensitivity. Here, we found they were at origin a moisture-regulating mechanism, which ensures an optimal hydration keratin...
We have developed a method to fabricate graphene flakes composed of high quality multi-layer sheets using thermal plasma jet system. A carbon atomic beam was generated by injecting ethanol into Ar continuously; the then flowed through tube attached anode. Graphene made epitaxial growth where beam, having proper energy, collided with graphite plate. The fabricated very pure and showed relatively good crystalline structure. demonstrated that number layers could be controlled controlling rate...
Abstract: Background: Visual hallucination (VH) is a common psychotic symptom in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) and may be significant predictor of cognitive impairment (CI) such patients. Objective: This study aimed to investigate the pattern glucose metabolism VH relationship between CI PD. Methods: We studied 28 PD patients, including 15 (PD-VH) 13 without (PD-NVH). Of PD-VH 8 had (PD-VHCI) whereas 7 did not (PD-VHNCI). All underwent [ 18 F] fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission...
Rapid eye movement sleep behavior disorder (RBD) may present as an early manifestation of evolving neurodegenerative with alpha-synucleinopathy.We investigated that dementia RBD might show distinctive cortical atrophic patterns.A total 31 patients idiopathic Parkinson's disease (IPD), 23 clinically probable Alzheimer's (AD), and 36 healthy controls participated in this study. Patients AD IPD were divided into two groups according to results polysomnography rated a validated Korean version...
Abstract Reducing the leakage current through gate oxide is becoming increasingly important for power consumption reduction as well reliability in integrated circuits semiconducting devices continue to scale down. Here, this work reports on high‐k dielectric SrHfO 3 (SHO) based with ultralow density via pulsed laser deposition (PLD). The achieved by optimizing growth conditions and associated structural properties. In optimized conditions, properties of 50‐nm‐thick SHO capacitors are...
Perovskite stannate SrSnO3 (SSO) is attracting attention as ultraviolet transparent conducting oxides (UV TCOs) due to its ultrawide band gap and high conductivity. Here, we investigate in detail the thickness-dependent electrical, structural, optical properties of sequentially strain-relaxed La-doped (SLSO) epitaxial thin films. We find that SLSO films grow an orthorhombic Pnma phase with a-a-c+ c+ direction under tensile strain. With strain relaxation, become thicker, vertical grain...
Post-stroke fatigue (PSF) is a common sequela of stroke. Despite reports serotonergic involvement in the etiology PSF, potential contribution genes development PSF needs to be investigated.A total 373 patients, who experienced ischemic stroke for were evaluated 3 months after was assessed using Fatigue Severity Scale. The genomic DNA collected and stored -70°C freezer genotyped 6 polymorphisms associated with serotonin synthesis (tryptophan hydroxylase 1 (TPH1) A218C, TPH2 rs10879355,...
A 64-year-old man presented with sudden onset of right-sided hemiparesis, headache, gait disturbance, and recurrent vomiting. physical examination revealed right Horner syndrome, ataxia the limbs, diminished sensation on left side his body. Diffusion-weighted MRI an acute lateral medullary infarction extending from rostral medulla to upper cervical cord, cerebellar in territory medial branch posterior inferior artery. Magnetic resonance angiography suspicious severe stenosis or near...
Advent of high mobility perovskite oxide semiconductor BaSnO3 (BSO) has enabled all-perovskite heterostructures such as 2DEGs and FETs. To date device demonstrations have been focused on finding integrating the compatible dielectric oxides polar LaInO3 LaScO3 non-polar BaHfO3 SrHfO3. For these length scale BSO-based heterostructure devices about 100 μm, primarily due to use stencil masks for patterning. In order further reduce scale, we employed a top-down approach using both...
Abstract Perovskite oxide semiconductor is unique for its capability to form epitaxial heterostructures with both dielectric and metallic perovskite oxides. The study underscores the potential of oxides multi‐layer stacking, a key aspect in advancing technology as silicon‐based devices evolve toward 3D stacked structures. Fabrication first double‐level double‐gate field‐effect transistors (DL DG‐FETs) demonstrated, where each layer epitaxially grown using all‐perovskite This resulted...
Sleep is a highly organized and complicated state that fundamental to life. We have an absolute need sleep during about one-third of our lives. There are two types sleep, non-rapid eye movement (NREM) rapid (REM) sleep. NREM divided into stages 1, 2, 3 which representing degree relative depth in Each stage shows unique features including some variations electroencephalographic waves, movements, muscle tone. Although pattern changes associated with aging, how physiology patterns change over...

Scaling down of semiconductor devices requires high- k dielectric materials to continue lowering the operating voltage field-effect transistors (FETs) and storing sufficient charge on a smaller area. Here, we investigate properties epitaxial BaHf 0.6 Ti 0.4 O 3 (BHTO), an alloy perovskite oxide barium hafnate (BaHfO ) titanate (BaTiO ). We found constant, breakdown field, leakage current be 150, 5.0 megavolts per centimeter (MV cm −1 ), 10 −4 amperes square at 2 MV , respectively. The...
