We report a size-controllable and low-cost fabrication method of graphene quantum dots (GQDs) using thermal plasma jet. A carbon atomic beam was generated by injecting large amount (2.5 L/min) ethylene gas continuously into Ar plasma. The then flowed through tube (5-20 cm in length) attached to the anode dispersed chamber. Carbon materials including GQDs were made phase collision reaction. production rate soot 40 g/h for 2.5 L/min injection rate. Almost all ethanol sonication, while isolated...

Fingerprints are unique to primates and koalas but what advantages do these features of our hands feet provide us compared with the smooth pads carnivorans, e.g., feline or ursine species? It has been argued that epidermal ridges on finger decrease friction when in contact surfaces, promote interlocking rough channel excess water, prevent blistering, enhance tactile sensitivity. Here, we found they were at origin a moisture-regulating mechanism, which ensures an optimal hydration keratin...

We have developed a method to fabricate graphene flakes composed of high quality multi-layer sheets using thermal plasma jet system. A carbon atomic beam was generated by injecting ethanol into Ar continuously; the then flowed through tube attached anode. Graphene made epitaxial growth where beam, having proper energy, collided with graphite plate. The fabricated very pure and showed relatively good crystalline structure. demonstrated that number layers could be controlled controlling rate...

Abstract: Background: Visual hallucination (VH) is a common psychotic symptom in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) and may be significant predictor of cognitive impairment (CI) such patients. Objective: This study aimed to investigate the pattern glucose metabolism VH relationship between CI PD. Methods: We studied 28 PD patients, including 15 (PD-VH) 13 without (PD-NVH). Of PD-VH 8 had (PD-VHCI) whereas 7 did not (PD-VHNCI). All underwent [ 18 F] fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission...

Abstract Reducing the leakage current through gate oxide is becoming increasingly important for power consumption reduction as well reliability in integrated circuits semiconducting devices continue to scale down. Here, this work reports on high‐k dielectric SrHfO 3 (SHO) based with ultralow density via pulsed laser deposition (PLD). The achieved by optimizing growth conditions and associated structural properties. In optimized conditions, properties of 50‐nm‐thick SHO capacitors are...

Perovskite stannate SrSnO3 (SSO) is attracting attention as ultraviolet transparent conducting oxides (UV TCOs) due to its ultrawide band gap and high conductivity. Here, we investigate in detail the thickness-dependent electrical, structural, optical properties of sequentially strain-relaxed La-doped (SLSO) epitaxial thin films. We find that SLSO films grow an orthorhombic Pnma phase with a-a-c+ c+ direction under tensile strain. With strain relaxation, become thicker, vertical grain...
