The role of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) for infants with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and KMT2A gene rearrangement (KMT2A-r) is controversial in terms both its efficacy potential late toxicities. In Japanese Pediatric Leukemia/Lymphoma Study Group trial MLL-10, by introducing intensive chemotherapy, indication HSCT was restricted to patients high-risk (HR) features only (KMT2A-r either age <180 days or presence central nervous system leukemia). Of the 56...

Human T‐cell leukemia virus type 1 ( HTLV ‐1) is the etiological agent of adult T cell ATL ), which an aggressive form malignancy. ‐1 oncoproteins, Tax and HBZ , play crucial roles in immortalization T‐cells and/or leukemogenesis by dysregulating cellular functions host. Recent studies show that ‐1‐infected have reduced expression BCL 11B tumor suppressor protein. In present study, we explored whether a role downregulating 11 B T‐cells. Lentiviral transduction human line repressed at both...

Strategies effective for accelerating methotrexate removal in delayed excretion have not been universally accepted. The authors report a case of 12-year-old girl with osteosarcoma who developed acute renal failure immediately after the first administration high-dose methotrexate. Plasma was effectively removed repeated charcoal hemoperfusion addition to plasma exchange and leucovorin rescue. Charcoal most reducing approximately 50% being reduced during each procedures. No rebound increase...

One of the reasons as to why chimeric antigen receptors (CAR)-T cell therapy for malignancies other than CD19- or BCMA-positive tumors has yet produce remarkable progress is paucity targetable antigens. NKp44 only expressed by activated natural killer cells and detects a variety transformed cells, while it reportedly does not react with normal tissues. The aim this study develop CAR-T that can target multiple types tumor cells. We created series novel CAR constructs in first-generation (1G)...

We describe a 14-year-old boy who exhibited left palatine tonsillar enlargement after 6 cycles of aggressive chemotherapy for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma the right tonsil. The cervical computed tomography scan at 4 months completion revealed tonsil in addition to thymus without any clinical symptoms. 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission indicated focal areas strong uptake Histologic examination confirmed hyperplasia with no evidence recurrence. Reactive is rarely reported.

We present a patient with Bernard-Soulier syndrome harboring novel mutation. Flow cytometric analysis showed that the glycoprotein (GP) Ib/IX complex was absent from platelet surface. By immunoblotting, GPIbalpha, GPIbbeta and GPIX were not detected in lysates. Glycocalicin, soluble GPIbalpha fragment, also plasma. Genetic revealed homozygous 8-base pair deletion gene, 1136_1143delTTCACATG, which predicted to cause frame shift addition of 13 altered amino acids followed by premature...

Abstract Secondary rhabdomyosarcoma ( RMS ) after treatment of osteosarcoma OS is rare. Reported here the case a metachronous in nasal cavity, developing 12 years successful non‐metastatic . The patient was diagnosed as having femur at 2 age. Chemotherapy for included doxorubicin (cumulative dose, 488 mg/m ). No radiotherapy given. There no family history suggestive cancer predisposition syndrome. At 14 age, alveolar on histopathology. PAX 3‐ FKHR fusion transcripts were detected reverse...
