Non-opioid-containing pain regimens are as effective opioid-containing for most oral surgical procedures. Despite this, dentists among the top opioid prescribers. Pharmacists can assist in optimizing post-operative management. Additionally, student pharmacy-dental collaborations enhance clinical and interprofessional learning.
