Intensity-based pointwise non-normalized algorithms for 2D evaluation of activity in optical metrology with dynamic speckle analysis are studied and compared. They applied to a temporal sequence correlated patterns formed at laser illumination the object surface. Performance each algorithm is assessed through histogram estimates it produces. A new proposed that provides same quality map less computational effort. The both synthetic experimental data.
Abstract Polarization diffraction gratings with various profiles were created using a reflective phase spatial light modulator (SLM). A digital polarization holographic setup, incorporating the SLM and two quarter-wave plates, was employed to record modulation of onto thin films azopolymer PAZO(poly[l-[4-(3-carboxy-4-hydroxyphenylazo)benzene sulfonamido]-1,2-ethanediyl, sodium salt]). One-dimensional two-dimensional different parameters recorded efficiency (DE) kinetics in ±1 orders obtained...
We employ two approaches to tune the properties of concurrently inscribed volume polarization and surface relief gratings in nanocomposite thin films containing azopolymer PAZO (poly[1-4-(3-carboxy-4-hydrophenylazo)benzensulfonamido]-1,2-ethanediyl, sodium salt]) goethite (α-FeOOH) nanorods. The first one is applied on stage sample preparation by varying concentration nanorods from 0% 15%. Then, different angles between recording beams are set holographic scheme, which allow us obtain with...
In this work, we study the polarization properties of diffraction gratings recorded in thin films azopolymer PAZO (poly[1-[4-(3-carboxy-4-hydroxyphenylazo)benzene sulfonamido]-1,2-ethanediyl, sodium salt]) using digital holography. Using two quarter-wave plates, phase retardation each pixel SLM is converted into azimuth rotation linearly polarized light. When recording from side sample, significant surface relief amplitude observed with atomic force microscopy. contrast, substrate sample...
Hybrid materials synthesized by combining polymers and inorganic nanoparticles (NPs) have received considerable attention recently due to their advantageous electrical, optical, or mechanical properties. Here we present a polarimetric study of thin films prepared from photoanisotropic hybrid materials: azopolymer (poly [1-[4-(3-carboxy-4-hydroxyphenylazo)benzenesulfonamido]-1,2-ethanediyl, sodium salt]) doped with different concentrations ZnO NPs sizes below 50 nm. To obtain full information...
In this article we present a study of the photoinduced birefringence (Δn) in films water soluble azopolymer: poly[1- [4-(3-carboxy-4-hydroxyphenylazo)benzenesulfonamido]-1,2-ethanediyl, sodium salt] (PAZO). Varying concentration azopolymer solution, with wide range thicknesses are obtained – from 50 to 2500 nm. The film thickness is determined Talystep precision profilometer. Birefringence measured using polarimetric setup recording laser at 473 nm and probe He-Ne 633 As shown...
Statistical processing of speckle data enables observation the speed processes. In intensity-based pointwise dynamic analysis, a map related to speed's spatial distribution is extracted from sequence patterns formed on an object under coherent light. Monitoring time evolution process needs storage, transfer, and large number images. We have proposed lossy compression these images using JPEG JPEG2000 formats. compared maps computed noncompressed decompressed synthetic experimental images, we...
We present a study of the photoinduced birefringence in nanocomposite films an azopolymer (PAZO) doped with goethite (a-FeOOH, characteristic antiferromagnetic material) nanoparticles (NPs). The NPs had elongated shape size 15×150 nm, i.e., ratio 1:10. Samples were prepared different concentrations varying from 0% (undoped film) to 15 wt %. An unusual dependence on concentration was observed - two peaks enhancement at 1 % and 10 concentration. Our previous studies ZnO SiO2 NP have indicated...
Azopolymers are well known organic materials for polarization holographic recording due to the induced anisotropy under illumination with polarized light. They possess all desirable characteristics of polarization-sensitive materials, as high sensitivity and reversibility, but excel them substantially in magnitude photoinduced birefringence. This makes possible record reversible gratings diffraction efficiency. In this paper results experimental investigations on reversibility properties...
Holography is defined as a two-steps process of capture and reconstruction the light wavefront scattered from three-dimensional (3D) objects. Capture possible due to encoding both amplitude phase in hologram result interference beam coming object mutually coherent reference beam. Three-dimensional imaging provided by holography motivates development digital holographic methods based on computer generation holograms display or printer. The printing technique relies combining 3D representation...
In this paper we present a study of the photoinduced anisotropy in novel nanocomposite films azopolymers doped with ZnO nanoparticles different sizes – 50 and 100 nm. The photoresponse was evaluated by classical polarimetric setup two crossed polarizers, recording laser wavelength 473 nm probe He-Ne laser. Our experimental results indicate that doping both sized particles improves response time, however smaller size provide increase Δnmax up to 40%, as reduce saturated value...
Azobenzene containing polymers (azopolymers) have been investigated for a number of applications – holographic data storage, polarization optical elements, diffractive gratings, etc. Herein we report on the characteristics films obtained from commercially available water soluble azopolymer PAZO (poly[1-[4-(3-carboxy-4-hydroxyphenylazo) benzenesulfonamido]-1,2-ethanediyl, sodium salt). Thin were deposited by spin coating and their thickness was determined Talystep precision profilometer. The...
Pattern projection profilometry is a powerful tool to reconstruct three-dimensional (3D) surface of diffuse objects. A variety pattern methods for 3D capture objects based on the generation sinusoidal fringes. phase grating under divergent coherent illumination with point source produces high visibility and spectral purity fringes in large longitudinal region. In present work we study speckle suppression by using polychromatic light source. Such an approach makes use fact that lateral fringe...
Dynamic laser speckle analysis is non-destructive detection of physical or biological activity through statistical processing patterns on the surface diffusely reflecting objects. This method sensitive to microscopic changes over time and needs simple optical means. Advances in computers 2D sensors forced development pointwise algorithms. They rely acquisition a temporal sequence correlated images generate data as spatial contour map estimate given parameter. The most widely used estimates...
In this paper, we evaluate the optical response of a stack two diffraction gratings equal one-dimensional periodicity.
