During an investigation carried out by the Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy Sciences (IOCAS), three living raphitomid specimens were collected from a hydrothermal vent site in Manus Back-Arc Basin. Observations shell, external anatomy and radular morphology reveal that they represent undescribed species genus Phymorhynchus Dall, 1908. In this paper, we describe illustrate as oculatus sp. nov. The new is most similar general shell shape to buccinoides Okutani, Fujikura & Sasaki,...

Increasing discoveries of new species the genus Melanochlamys Cheeseman, 1881 in recent years indicate that biodiversity this group remains underestimated. Recently, several aglajid sea slugs were collected from Laizhou Bay, Shandong Province, China. Morphological observation their external and internal anatomy revealed they represent an undescribed Melanochlamys. This species, aquilina sp. nov., is closely related to fukudai Cooke, Hanson, Hirano, Ornelas-Gatdula, Gosliner, Chernyshev &...

Although miniature CRISPR-Cas12f systems were recently developed, the editing efficacy and targeting range of derived cytosine adenine base editors (miniCBEs miniABEs) have not been comprehensively addressed. Moreover, functional miniCBEs yet be established. Here we generate various Cas12f-derived miniABEs with improved activities diversified scopes. We reveal that generated traditional cytidine deaminases exhibit wide windows high off-targeting effects. To improve signatures classical CBEs...

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a complex endocrine disorder affecting women of childbearing age, and we aimed to reveal its underlying molecular mechanisms. Gene expression profiles from GSE138518 GSE155489, single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) data PRJNA600740 were collected subjected bioinformatics analysis identify the mechanisms PCOS. The genes was detected by RT-qPCR. Through differential analysis, identified 230 common differentially expressed (DEGs) in GSE155489. GSEA results...

A new cocculinid species collected from a dolphin skull in the East China Sea is described and assigned to genus Cocculina Dall, 1882. This species, delphinicula sp. nov., has medium sized, depressed shell sculptured with regularly spaced concentric growth lines fine radial threads. The radula formula of (ca. 20)+5+1+5+(ca. 20) vestigial rachidian, lateral 1 weak but well defined, having an outline that frequently terminates into small beak-like cusp, laterals 2 3 3–4 cusps, 4 large primary...

During research dives by the submersible ROV Faxian, two margaritid species were collected in Okinawa Trough and Manus Back-Arc Basin. In present study, we describe illustrate them as Margarites similis sp. nov. manusensis nov., respectively. The generic allocation is based on shell morphology radula features. Phylogenetic reconstruction using cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) gene also supports their placements within Margarites.

Abstract Cytidine and adenosine deaminases are required for cytosine adenine editing of base editors respectively, no single deaminase could enable concurrent comparable editing. Additionally, distinct properties cytidine lead to various types off-target effects, including Cas9-indendepent DNA effects (CBEs) RNA particularly severe (ABEs). Here we demonstrate that 25 TadA orthologs be engineered generate functional ABEs, CBEs or ACBEs via double mutations, which display minimized...

Turbulence in the pedestal region of EAST tokamak has been observed and studied using reflectometry. In lower hybrid wave (LHW) or neutral beam injection (NBI) dominated heating plasma, a coherent mode (CM) was usually ELM-free phase just after L-H transition. The CM rotated electron diamagnetic drift (EDD) direction laboratory frame with poloidal number (kθ) 0.5 cm−1–0.7 cm−1 its frequency chirped from 80 – 100 kHz down to 40 50 as evolved. appearance this reduced increasing rate pressure,...

P2-type Na0.5Mn0.95Ni0.05O2 as the cathode for sodium-ion batteries, has a relatively high theoretical specific capacity, but its unstable crystal structure and undesirable phase transitions lead to rapid capacity decay. In this work, Mg-B-O coated microspheres have been synthesized via liquid-phase method based on solvothermal Na0.5Mn0.95Ni0.05O2. The coating layer significantly improves electrochemical performance, including rate capability, cycle stability. Within voltage window of...
