Diamond Schottky barrier diodes (SBDs) were fabricated on silicon-based heteroepitaxially grown diamond substrates. Platinum metal and boron-doped p-type used as SBDs. The exhibited good current–voltage (I–V) characteristics. rectification ratio was over 1012 at ±4 V, the ideality factor 1.2. breakdown voltage estimated metal/diamond interface high ∼1 MV/cm, which is greater than material limit of silicon (∼0.3 MV/cm). This achievement, does not require use single-crystalline substrates,...
Nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in phosphorus-doped diamond have potential applications quantum technologies because their electron spin has the longest coherence time among those solid systems at room temperature (RT) and negative charge state is more stable than that undoped diamond. However, conventional phosphorus source, phosphine, toxic explosive; a safer precursor therefore preferred. We consequently attempted to synthesize diamonds using tert-butylphosphine (TBP), which lower toxicity...
A multi-model based approach to fault detection and diagnosis (FDD) of internal sensor for mobile robot is proposed. Three failure modes (hard mode, noise scale mode) the are handled; on hard output stuck at a constant value. The causes with large noise. On gain (scale) differs from normal. hard/noise (HNFDD) variable structure interacting multiple-model (VSIMM) estimator; changes modeled as switching one mode another in probabilistic manner. probabilities, which estimated bank Kalman...
An interacting multiple-model (IMM) approach to sensor fault detection and identification (FDI) in the dead reckoning of mobile robots is proposed Changes normal/failure modes are explicitly modeled as switching from one mode another a probabilistic manner; probabilities robot states estimated via bank Kalman filters with mutual interaction. To provide better decision, probability averaging heuristic decision-making rule incorporated into IMM based algorithm. The FDI algorithm implemented on...
A 7-nm silicon column structure was fabricated by using a Cl neutral beam we developed. The achieved high etching selectivity to ferritin iron-core mask charge-free and damage-free processes. ratio the iron core measured be about 59. in 7 nm diameter, which identical that of etched nanocolumn. This indicates neutral-beam transferred size substrate.
The regioselective halogenation of porphyrinoids is critical for their selective functionalization, which enables the fine tuning electronic and optical properties. Here we report synthesis two regioisomeric Ni(II) bromonorcorroles on basis acid-induced migration bromo substituent. Treatment dimesitylnorcorrole with N-bromosuccinimide (NBS) selectively afforded 3-bromonorcorrole, was further converted into 2-bromonorcorrole upon treatment hydrogen bromide. In addition, reaction an excess...
A bowl-shaped π-conjugated molecule typically undergoes bowl-inversion motion via a planarized transition state (TS), the highest-energy along reaction coordinate between two minimum bowl structures. Isolation of such has been challenging. Here, we report that platinum(II) complex antiaromatic porphyrin, norcorrole, adopts conformation in solution but can become planar solid. In crystalline state, norcorrole Pt(II) forms triple-decker stacking structures, which is stabilized and sandwiched...
We investigate the strain properties of GaN films grown by plasma-assisted molecular beam epitaxy on Si(110) substrates. It is found that film can be converted from a tensile to compressive state simply inserting thin AlN/GaN superlattice structure (SLs) within film. The layers seperated SLs have different states, which indicates plays key role in modulation during growth and cooling down processes. Using this simple technique, we grow crack-free exceeding 2-μm-thick. realization...
The synthesis and properties of a 2-to-2' 18-to-18' doubly linked Ni(ii) norcorrole dimer are described. It adopts highly planar structure, resulting in effective electronic interactions between the constituent units. Nevertheless, each unit exhibits substantial antiaromaticity, which stands sharp contrast to stacked dimers.
Diamond has attracted considerable attention as an advanced‐generation material for power devices because it shows high breakdown characteristics and carrier mobility. For the development of high‐performance diamond devices, each interfacial atomic structure must be optimized to encourage conduction. Advanced etching processes without damage could solve this issue. In study, inductively coupled plasma (ICP) etching, a basic device processing technique is focused on. The electrical properties...
We fabricated nanocolumn structure by using a low energy neutral beam and ferritin iron-core mask. By Cl2 gas plasma for generating beam, we obtained better etching profile than with SF6 plasma. Though Cl2:SF6=90:10 enabled faster without degrading the when depth was 25 nm, mixture any quantity of resulted in poor 50 nm. The optimized 50-nm changing rf bias power to bottom electrode neutral-beam source. Using optimum energy, extremely high selectivity Si masks (about 80) as well highly...
An athermal operation of the lasing wavelength in a membrane buried heterostructure distributed feedback (BH-DFB) laser was demonstrated by adopting polymer (benzocyclobutene) cladding layer which has negative temperature coefficient refractive index. Membrane BH-DFB lasers core thickness 65 nm were operated under room-temperature continuous-wave conditions. The dependence measured to be 2.45times10 <sup xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"...
Quantum sensing has a bright future for applications in need of impeccable sensitivities. The study periodic fields resulted various techniques, which deal with the limited coherence time quantum sensor several ways. However, signal to measure could include forms randomness as well, such changes phase or frequency. In cases, long measurement times required detect smallest field amplitudes hamper effectiveness conventional techniques. this paper, we propose and explore robust technique combat...
The effect of a thin AlN/GaN superlattice structure (SLs) interlayer on the strain properties in GaN films grown Si(110) substrates is investigated. By comparing states without interlayer, it found that can be modulated by SLs which converted from tensile state to compressive one. realization film results suppression crack generation thick growth, general problem growth Si substrates. Using this simple technique, we successfully grow crack-free continuous exceeding 4 µm thick. Therefore,...
The longest spin coherence times for nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers at room temperature have been achieved in phosphorus-doped n-type diamond. However, difficulty controlling impurity incorporation and the utilization of highly toxic phosphine gas chemical vapor deposition (CVD) technique pose problems growth In present study, diamond samples were synthesized by CVD using tert-butylphosphine, which is much less than phosphine. unintentional nitrogen was found to be suppressed incrementally...
Hinokiol diacetate was converted into 3β-acetoxyabieta-8,11,13-triene-6β,12-diol via 3β,12-diacetoxyabieta-8,11,13-trien-7-one and 3β,12-diacetoxyabieta-6,8,11,13-tetraene. Oxidation of the 6β,12-diol with benzoyl peroxide produced 3β-acetoxy-12-benzoyloxyabieta-8,11,13-triene-6β,11-diol, which 3β,11,12-triacetoxyabieta-8,11,13-trien-6-one by lithium aluminium hydride reduction, acetylation, Jones oxidation. Acidic hydrolysis triacetoxy ketone, followed column chromatography on silica gel,...

The Ni(II) complex of meso-dimesitylnorcorrole is a stable 16π antiaromatic porphyrinoid.
