Dexmedetomidine is an α2-adrenergic used as adjunct therapy for sedation in the intensive care unit. While it known to cause polyuria exclusively perioperative conditions, not many cases are unit, thus making diagnosis challenging. We present case of a 61-year-old male who had developed secondary central diabetes insipidus after receiving dexmedetomidine intravenous infusion medical ICU.
