Aims Limited data exist on radial access in carotid artery stenting (CAS). This single‐center study was performed to compare the outcome and complication rates of transradial (TR) transfemoral (TF) CAS. Methods Results The clinical angiographic 775 consecutive patients with high risk for endarterectomy, treated between 1999 2016 by CAS cerebral protection, were evaluated. Patients divided into 2 groups according vascular access: TR (n = 101; 13%) TF 674). Primary combined end‐point:...

Studies on cardiac regeneration require large mammalian models of dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) after acute myocardial infarction (AMI), and pig sheep are increasingly used in this field preclinical research. Given the interindividual variability ovine left anterior descending artery (LAD) anatomy, protocols based coronary arteries to be ligated often lead significant variation infarct sizes hence heterogeneous results, ranging from no ventricular remodeling acute, lethal (LV) failure.
