Abstract Successful combinations of radiotherapy and immunotherapy depend on the presence live T cells within tumor; however, is believed to damage cells. Here, based longitudinal in vivo imaging functional analysis, we report that a large proportion survive clinically relevant doses radiation show increased motility, higher production interferon gamma, compared with from unirradiated tumors. Irradiated intratumoral can mediate tumor control without newly-infiltrating Transcriptomic analysis...

Abstract Purpose: African Americans (AA) have the highest incidence of colorectal cancer compared with other U.S. populations and more proximal cancers. The objective is to elucidate basis these disparities. Experimental design: Of note, 566 AA 328 non-Hispanic White (NHW) cancers were ascertained in five Chicago hospitals. Clinical exposure data collected. Microsatellite instability (MSI) BRAF (V600E) KRAS mutations tested. Statistical significance categorical variables was tested by Fisher...

<title>Abstract</title> Inflammatory cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death worldwide. Neutrophils, key drivers during inflammation, have consistently been associated with adverse outcomes and mortality in pathologies. Given uniquely high plasticity turnover neutrophils, we profiled appearance distinct neutrophil maturation stages as sensitive specific biomarkers patients ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), heart failure stroke. Our data reveal a neutrophilia driven...

Dural tails are thickened contrast-enhancing portions of dura associated with some meningiomas. Prior studies have demonstrated the presence tumor cells within dural tail, however their inclusion in radiation treatment fields remains controversial. We evaluated role including tail when treating a meningioma stereotactic and impact on recurrence. This is retrospective, single-institution, cohort study patients intracranial World Health Organization (WHO) grade 1 identified who were treated...

Abstract Intralobar pulmonary sequestration (ILPS) and bronchogenic cyst are rare congenital diseases. We present the first case of association between an ILPS located in upper lobe a cyst. This has been discovered antenatally girl. The cystic lesion shown by fetal MRI confirmed CT scan at 3 weeks life. She underwent left lobectomy thoracoscopy age 5 months. Postoperative course was uneventfull. confirms origin shows interest early surgery. Pediatr. Pulmonol. 2011; 46:509–511. © 2010 Wiley‐Liss, Inc.

We prospectively studied the feasibility of monitoring physical using a commercial device collecting electronic patient-reported outcomes (ePROs) during radiotherapy (RT) for head neck (HNC). METHODS Patients planned course external beam RT with curative intent HNC were instructed use fitness tracker throughout course. During weekly clinic visits, physician-scored...

These events generally occur in aggressive and widely-metastatic disease, with appropriate management significance these unknown. Background: The first line definitive treatment for early-stage indolent B-cell lymphoma is radiation therapy (RT). Due to the sensitivity of orbital structures radiation, ultra-low-dose RT (4 Gy in 2 fractions, "boom-boom") has and been utilized as an attractive option lymphoma. In this retrospective study, we evaluated outcome toxicity "boom-boom" with emphasis on ophthalmologic toxicity. Methods: This a case series 17 patients who received boom-boom at single tertiary referral center...

Meningeal melanocytomas are rare, benign tumours of the central nervous system arising from melanocytes leptomeninges. First-line treatment consists either gross or subtotal resection with without radiotherapy. However, given sensitive locations these tumours, alternative options such as definitive radiotherapy may be warranted in patients deemed high-risk accessible tumours. A 67-year-old male presenting spastic gait, frequent falls, and vertical gaze palsy was diagnosed a 2.4 cm primary...
