In patients with posterior inferior cerebellar artery infarction (PICAI) or lateral medullary (LMI), the ipsilateral vertebral is often hypoplastic and therefore at an increased risk of ischaemic stroke. To investigate frequency clinical relevance (HVA) in stroke without territory normal healthy people.529 stroke, including (LMI PICAI), were classified according to their location (303 anterior circulation strokes (ACS) 226 (PCS)) by MRI. The HVA, defined as a diameter < = 2 mm magnetic...

Background and Purpose— Effective rescue treatment has not yet been suggested in patients with mechanical thrombectomy (MT) failure. This study aimed to test whether stenting (RS) improved clinical outcomes MT-failed patients. Methods— is a retrospective analysis of the cohorts 16 comprehensive stroke centers between September 2010 December 2015. We identified who underwent MT but failed recanalize intracranial internal carotid artery or middle cerebral M1 occlusion. Patients were...

Background and Purpose— Stent retriever (SR) thrombectomy has become the mainstay of treatment acute intracranial large artery occlusion. However, it is still not much known about optimal limit SR attempts for favorable outcome. We evaluated whether a specific number passes futile recanalization can be determined. Methods— Patients who were treated with as first endovascular modality their occlusion in anterior circulation retrospectively reviewed. The rate each pass was calculated....

Objective To characterise the time window in which endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) is associated with good outcome, and to test differential relationship between functional outcome onset-to-reperfusion (ORT), depending on collateral status. Methods This was a retrospective analysis of clinical imaging data 554 consecutive patients, who had recanalisation success by EVT for anterior circulation large artery occlusion, from prospectively maintained registries 16 comprehensive stroke centres...

We performed pretreatment brain MRIs in 25 patients with neurologically symptomatic Wilson9s disease (WD) and clinical MRI follow-up 16 of them. All revealed abnormalities, abnormal high-signal intensity (HSI) bilateral thalami being the most common (92%). HSI lesions brainstem (84%) basal ganglia (72%) were also common. Brain atrophy was present 88% patients. In period 5 to 24 months, during which treated D-penicillamine, both neurologic symptoms improved patients, but did not change.

We aimed to investigate whether the type of EVT was associated with RT.
