Endophytic actinobacteria play an important role in growth promotion and development of host plant by producing enormous quantities novel bioactive natural products. In the present investigation, 169 endophytic were isolated from endospheric tissues Rhynchotoechum ellipticum. Based on their antimicrobial potential, 81 strains identified 16rRNA gene analysis, which taxonomically grouped into 15 genera. All screened for promoting attributes and, presence modular polyketide synthases (PKSI,...
We have developed an efficient cyanuric chloride (2,4,6-trichloro-1,3,5-triazine, TCT) catalyzed approach for the synthesis of 2,3-dihydroquinazolin-4(1H)-one (3a–3x), 2-spiroquinazolinone (5, 7), and glycoconjugates (10a, 10b) derivatives. The reaction allows rapid cyclization (8–20 min) with 10 mol % to give skeletal complexity in good excellent yield. believe that this novel procedure may open door easy generation new bioactive quinazolinones.
The high potential of quinazolinone containing natural products and their derivatives in medicinal chemistry led us to discover four novel series 53 compounds based on the concept molecular hybridization. Most synthesized analogues exhibited potent leishmanicidal activity against intracellular amastigotes (IC50 from 0.65 ± 0.2 7.76 2.1 μM) as compared miltefosine = 8.4 nontoxic toward J-774A.1 cell line Vero cells. Moreover, activation Th1 type suppression Th2 immune responses induction...
Endophytic fungi associated with medicinal plants are reported as potent producers of diverse classes secondary metabolites. In the present study, an endophytic fungi, Aspergillus clavatonanicus strain MJ31, exhibiting significant antimicrobial activity was isolated from roots Mirabilis jalapa L., identified by sequencing three nuclear genes i.e. internal transcribed spacers ribosomal RNA (ITS rRNA), 28S (28S rRNA) and translation elongation factor 1- alpha (EF 1α). Ethyl acetate extract...
Actinobacteria from freshwater habitats have been explored less than other in the search for compounds of pharmaceutical value. This study highlighted abundance actinobacteria sediments two rivers and one lake, isolates were studied their ability to produce antimicrobial bioactive compounds. 16S rRNA gene sequencing led identification 84 actinobacterial separated into a common genus (Streptomyces) eight rare genera (Nocardiopsis, Saccharopolyspora, Rhodococcus, Prauserella, Amycolatopsis,...
We report remarkable multiferroic effects in polycrystalline Bi2Fe4O9. High-resolution x-ray diffraction shows that this compound has orthorhombic structure. Magnetic measurements confirm an antiferromagnetic transition around 260K. A pronounced inverse S-shape anomaly the loss tangent of dielectric measurement is observed near Néel temperature. This feature shifts with application magnetic field. These anomalies are indicative substantial coupling between electric and orders compound.
Several diversity-oriented syntheses of N-fused polycyclic heterocycles have been demonstrated but most them are based on point diversity within the same library and usually involve time-consuming sequential multistep syntheses, which also suffer from low yields and/or poor precursor scopes. We developed a new strategy for skeletal diverse compounds via an Ugi-type MCR followed by CuI-catalyzed coupling reaction or tandem Pictet-Spengler reaction. This two-step sequence provides eight...
Plants have been used since ancient times as an important source of biologically active substances. The aim the present study was to investigate phytochemical constituents (flavonoids and phenolics), antioxidant potential, cytotoxicity against HepG2 (human hepato carcinoma) cancer cell lines antimicrobial activity methanol extract selected traditional medicinal plants collected from Mizoram, India. A number phenolic compounds were detected using HPLC-DAD-ESI-TOF-MS, mainly Luteolin,...
A rapid one-pot protocol for the synthesis of indole-based polyheterocycles via a sequential Lewis acid catalyzed intermolecular Michael addition and an intramolecular azide/internal alkyne 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction has been described. The generality method demonstrated by treating series aromatic/aliphatic 2-alkynyl indoles with substituted (E)-1-azido-2-(2-nitrovinyl)benzenes to furnish annulated tetracyclic indolo[2,3-c][1,2,3]triazolo[1,5-a][1]benzazepines in good yields.
Species of genus Ocimum are traditionally used for their medicinal and flavoring properties. These rich sources essential oils found as an ingredient in many Ayurvedic preparations food products. Phenolics triterpenic acids the medicinally active compounds mainly concentrated leaves species. This study aimed to develop efficient reliable analytical method rapid screening characterization phenolics leaf extracts 6 species using high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with electrospray...
The genus Streptomyces under phylum actinobacteria has been recognized as a prolific source for the production of bioactive secondary metabolites. An actinobacterial strain designated DST103 isolated from wetland fresh water sediment Tamdil Lake, Mizoram, Northeast, India was identified cyaneofuscatus (KY287599) using 16SrRNA gene sequencing which shares 99.87% sequence similarity with NRRL B-2570T. showed broad spectrum antimicrobial activities against Gram negative bacteria (Escherichia...
Tibetan is a valuable Himalayan sheep breed classified as endangered. Knowledge of the level and distribution genetic diversity in important for designing conservation strategies their sustainable survival to preserve evolutionary potential. Thus, first time, variability population was accessed with twenty five inter-simple sequence repeat markers. All microsatellites were polymorphic total 148 alleles detected across these loci. The observed number all loci more than effective ranged from 3...
Rauwolfia species (Apocynaceae) are medicinal plants well known worldwide due to its potent bioactive monoterpene indole alkaloids (MIAs) such as reserpine, ajmalicine, ajmaline, serpentine and yohimbine. Reserpine, ajmalicine ajmaline powerful antihypertensive, tranquilizing agents used in hypertension. Yohimbine is an aphrodisiac dietary supplements. As there no report on the comparative comprehensive phytochemical investigation of roots species, we have developed efficient reliable liquid...

Insect odorant receptors function as heteromeric odorant-gated cation channels comprising a conventional odorant-sensitive tuning receptor, and conserved co-receptor (Orco). An Orco agonist, VUAA1, is able to activate both homomeric Orco-containing channels. Very little known about specific residues in that contribute permeability gating. We investigated the importance of two Asp residues, one each transmembrane domains 5 7, for channel by mutagenesis. Drosophila melanogaster its...

Introduction: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disorder that results in glucose accumulation the blood, accompanied by production of advanced glycation end products (AGEs) through cellular proteins. These AGEs interfere with insulin signaling and prevent GLUT4 membrane translocation, thereby promoting more blood causing post-diabetic complications. Methods: In this study, we examine anti-diabetic potential Lyonia ovalifolia (Wall.) Drude, well-known ethnomedicinal plant Indian...
