Counter anions of active components on catalysts were found to affect catalytic activities for NO reduction with NH3. Halide ions promoted activity in copper and iron catalysts, but lowered it chromium manganese catalysts. The most favorable electronic state a cation was investigated by changing counter and/or carriers.

Thermionic emission patterns from the single-crystal LaB6 [100], [110], [111], and [210] tips have been observed under Schottky condition. The are interpreted on basis of a model involving an anisotropic work function LaB6; regions around [111] crystal orientation high-work function, while those low function. This also explains qualitatively order total currents tips. predominantly consist conical face rather than top this experimental Changes in pattern cathode surface operation at 10−4...

Hemangioblastoma is a benign tumor of the cerebellum, and treatment involves surgical excision, both as initial also in case recurrence. Recurrence hemangioblastoma can be local due to incomplete resection or distant separate from region. Local recurrence largely avoided by verifying for any residual intraoperatively before closure. In this study, we used intraoperative fluorescent diagnosis using 5-aminolevulinic acid (5-ALA) verify presence during resection. Nine patients with were given 1...

A method for extracting coherent vorticity sheets and current out of three-dimensional homogeneous magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) turbulence is proposed, which based on the orthogonal wavelet decomposition density fields. Thresholding coefficients allows both fields to be split into incoherent parts. The analyzed are obtained by direct numerical simulation (DNS) forced incompressible MHD without mean magnetic field, using a classical Fourier spectral at resolution 5123. Coherent extracted from...

The composition profile of tungsten silicide films deposited by low‐pressure chemical vapor deposition employing dichlorosilane (DCS) reduction hexafluoride is studied. Diffusion the reaction rate‐limiting process at chuck temperatures above 550°C and uniform in‐depth profiles can be obtained. Below 550°C, however, not for surface process. Tungsten‐rich layers with a Si composition, , 1.5, are initially due to surface. This layer amorphous or microcrystalline. Thereafter, silicon content...

Objective: When the bone flap is removed in a pterional craniotomy, middle meningeal artery (MMA) should be gently dissected to minimize blood loss. However, when MMA pierces bony tunnel groove it easily damaged upon elevation. We have performed an anatomic study of this render craniotomy safer.

✓ A 50-year-old woman with a parietal intracerebral hematoma was initially treated by evacuation. Initial preoperative and follow-up angiograms obtained 6 months later demonstrated no pial arteriovenous malformations (AVMs). She suffered subarachnoid hemorrhage 8 years later. Results of cerebral angiography revealed the development previously undetected multiple AVMs. This appears to be first reported case AVMs in an adult, on serial angiography.

2CuCl2+C2H4→CH2ClCH2Cl+Cu2Cl2(1)Cu2Cl2+2HCl+1/2 O2→2CuCl2+H2O(2)
