We obtain the radiative energy loss of a heavy quark in deconfined medium due to radiation gluons off them using recently derived generalised gluon emission spectrum. find that flavour loses almost similar fashion like light quarks through this process. With this, we further analyse nuclear modification factor for D-meson at LHC and RHIC energies. In particular, obtained result is found be close agreement with most recent data from ALICE collaboration 2.76 ATeV Pb–Pb collisions. also discuss...

An improved generalized suppression factor for gluon emission off a heavy quark is derived within perturbative QCD, which valid the full range of rapidity radiated and also has no restriction on scaled mass with its energy. In appropriate limit, it correctly reproduces usual dead cone in forward region. On other hand, this becomes close to unity backward direction. This indicates small region, should have an impact phenomenology energy loss hot dense matter produced ultrarelativistic ion collisions.

We then studied the gauge-invariant bilocal orbital angular momentum operator with such general link.
