The aim of this work was to study the ability 28-homobrassinolide (HBL) and 28-homocastasterone (HCS) increase resistance barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) plants drought alter their endogenous brassinosteroid status. Germinated seeds were treated with 0.1 nM HBL or HCS solutions for two hours. A water deficit created by stopping watering 7-day-old next weeks. Plants responded through growth inhibition, impaired status, increased lipid peroxidation, differential effects on antioxidant enzymes,...
The published data on the chemistry of intermolecular 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition nitrile oxides to different types alkene derivatives are systematised. Various aspects stereo- and regiochemistry this reaction considered. bibliography includes 182 references.
Aim.To investigate the brassinosteroids (BRs) influence on plant alternative respiration pathway and antioxidant systems to regulate ROS (reactive oxygen species) production under optimal abiotic stress conditions.Methods.Respiration measurement experiments were done with polarographic technique.Original methods used evaluate activity.Results.Treatment BRs increased intensity of control conditions.BRs had no effect BR-insensitive bri1-6 plants.Brassinosteroids also activity a range osmotic...
Aim.To investigate 24-epibrassinolide influence on the maize seedlings 9-and 13-lipoxygenases activity (9-and 13-LOX) under normal conditions (25 o C) and cold stress (5 C).Methods.LOX was measured after treatment of with 0.01 1 ìM 24-epibrassinolide.The enzymes were extracted from 0.1 M sodium acetate (pH 4.5) buffer, supplemented a non-ionic detergent (0.1 % Brij-99) EDTA mM).The 13-LOX activities determined spectrophotometrically at 234 nm using linoleic acid as substrate pH 6.0 7.0 in...
