Influence of powerful plasma impacts on several materials used for the construction energy systems, i.e. different grades steels as well tungsten coatings, has been discussed. The cracking thresholds were evaluated for tungsten samples with different microstructure in the course of QSPA Kh-50 repetitive plasma loads. No damage has been observed on exposed surfaces under 0.1 MJ/m2. Nevertheless, cracks detected bulk irradiated (with longitudinal grain orientation).
