We aimed to assess the prevalence of poor sleep quality during early pregnancy and its risk factors, explore association between adverse outcomes. This was a prospective birth cohort study that included 4352 pregnant women. Sleep were assessed using Pittsburgh Quality Index (PSQI). The factors for analyzed by logistic regression model. Log-binomial models used analyze maternal 34.14%. multivariate model showed stillbirth history (OR = 2.45; 95% CI: 1.34, 4.47), induced abortion 1.26; 1.07,...
Medical staff in the department of obstetrics and gynecology are a group professionals reportedly at high risk work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSD), however, little is known about current status this problem China. The aim study was to investigate prevalence factors among population A self-developed questionnaire distributed 1017 practitioners collect information on symptoms relevant factors. Prevalence severity different parts body were calculated relationship between personal...
Abstract Background To assess the association between plasma retinol-binding protein 4 (RBP4) levels both in first trimester and second risk of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Methods Plasma RBP4 insulin were measured among 135 GDM cases controls nested within Peking University Birth Cohort Tongzhou. Multivariable linear regression analysis was conducted to influence on resistance. Conditional logistic models used compute odds ratio (OR) 95% confidence interval (CI) GDM. Results The had...
Abstract Background Lipid metabolism plays important roles in the whole process of pregnancy. Previous studies have demonstrated abnormalities lipid placentas pregnancies obtained by assisted reproductive technology (ART). Therefore, we hypothesized that ART micromanipulation may affect offspring, and focused on fatty acid male offspring this study. Methods The liver, adipose tissue testis was detected. comparison between naturally conceived (NC), controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (COH),...
Although studies have examined the association between residential greenness and birth weight, there is no evidence regarding fetal growth in utero. We aimed to investigate associations of with both utero weight. A cohort (2014–2017) 18,665 singleton pregnancies was established Tongzhou Maternal Child hospital Beijing, China. Residential matched maternal address estimated from remote satellite data using normalized difference vegetation index 200 m 500 buffers (NDVI-200 NDVI-500). Fetal...
Noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) is the second-most frequent form of sensorineural loss. When exposed to same noise, some workers develop NIHL while others do not, suggesting that may be associated with genetic factors. To explore relationship between single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) genes (HSPA1A, HSPA1B and HSPA1L) susceptibility Han Chinese a case-control association study was carried out 286 cases matched gender, age, type work, exposure time,...
Objective To examine the effects of dynamic change in fetuin-A levels before diagnosis gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) on insulin resistance and GDM. Research design methods A total 135 women with GDM normal glucose tolerance (NGT) matched age (±2 years old) at taking oral test (OGTT) were included this nested case–control study. Fasting venous blood samples collected prenatal visit first trimester during OGTT second trimester. Plasma concentration was determined. Results The plasma...
Noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) is an important occupational disease worldwide resulting from interactions between genetic and environmental factors. The purpose of this study was to examine whether variations in POU4F3 GRHL2 may influence susceptibility NIHL the Chinese population. A matched case-control carried out among 293 individuals normal workers drawn a population 3790 noise-exposed workers. Ten single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were selected genotyped. Logistic regression...
Abstract Fat-soluble vitamins during pregnancy are important for fetal growth and development. The present study aimed at exploring the association between vitamin A, E D status birth weight. A total of 19 640 women with singleton deliveries from a retrospective were included. Data collected by hospital electronic information system. Maternal serum concentrations measured pregnancy. Logistic regression was performed to estimate low weight (LBW) or macrosomia. Women excessive more likely have...
Objective The extensive use of rare earth elements (REEs) in many technologies was found to have effects on human health, but the association between early pregnancy exposure REEs and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is still unknown. Methods This nested case-control study involved 200 pregnant women with GDM healthy from Peking University Birth Cohort Tongzhou. We examined serum concentrations 14 during analyzed their associations risk GDM. Results When were considered individually...
Noise-induced hearing loss is one of the most serious occupational diseases worldwide. It caused by interactions between environmental and genetic factors. The purpose this study was to examine association susceptibility eye absent homolog 4 (EYA4) gene risk developing noise-induced in China.A case-control carried out with 326 cases controls matched age duration noise exposure, drawn from a cohort steel workers. Five single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) EYA4 were selected genotyped....
Early intervention of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is effective in reducing pregnancy disorders. Fetal growth, measured by routine ultrasound scan a few weeks earlier before GDM diagnosis, might be useful to identify women at high risk GDM. In the study, generalized estimating equations were applied examine associations between ultrasonic indicators abnormal fetal growth 22–24 and subsequent diagnosis. Of 44,179 deliveries, 8324 (18.8%) diagnosed with 24 28 weeks. At weeks, head...
BACKGROUND The incidence of chronic wounds is rising due to an aging population and lifestyle changes in our country. In addition, as the disease spectrum evolves, have become common clinical issues that seriously threaten health impose significant social economic burdens. AIM To investigate how depression, anxiety, peripheral blood inflammatory factors, stress levels affect therapeutic outcomes patients with wounds. METHODS Retrospectively collected data from 110 treated at Changde...
The study is aimed at examining the effects of fatty acid-binding protein 4 (FABP4) on insulin resistance and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Based a prospective birth cohort in Beijing, China, we conducted nested case-control analyzed 135 GDM pairs matched by age week when they took oral glucose tolerance test. We performed linear regression to analyze association plasma FABP4 concentrations with resistance. used logistic estimate odds ratios (ORs) for GDM, controlling potential...
Abstract Background Previous studies on the association of online courses and mental health were mainly conducted in universities, no study investigated relationship between characteristics children’s primary secondary school. This aimed to explore Methods A cross-sectional was through an survey among 540 school students their parents eastern, central western region China from April May 2020. Children’s assessed by Strengths Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ). Borderline problems (SDQ total...
Abstract Background Some clinicians used levothyroxine (LT4) treatment for mild subclinical hypothyroidism (SCH) pregnant women (2.5 < thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) ≤ the pregnancy-specific reference range with normal free thyroxine (FT4) level) thyroid peroxidase antibody negative (TPOAb − ), although recent clinical guideline did not recommend it. It is unknown whether LT4 SCH and TPOAb have impact on fetal growth. Therefore, aim of study was to investigate effect growth birth...
Objective . Few studies have examined whether maternal 25(OH)D deficiency and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) jointly affect fetal growth. Differences between randomized controlled trial (RCT) results and real world study (RWS) may not represent a true efficacy-effectiveness gap because estimates be biased when RWS RCT differ significantly in design or there is bias result estimation. Secondly, an efficacy- effectiveness gap, it should treat every patient the same way but assess real-world factors influencing intervention's identify subgroup likely to achieve desired effect.
Randomized controlled trials (RCT) usually have strict implementation criteria. The included subjects' characteristics of the conditions for intervention are quite different from actual clinical environment, resulting in discrepancies between risk-benefit interventions use and shown RCT. Therefore, some methods needed to enhance extrapolation RCT results evaluate real effects drugs people practice settings.
