Recent guidelines recommend a systolic blood pressure (BP) goal of less than 150 mm Hg or even 130 for adults aged 60 years older. However, harms from intensive BP treatments occur immediately (eg, syncope, fall), and benefits cardiovascular event reduction emerge over time. Therefore, with low chance benefit need to be clearer, particularly those limited life expectancy.

Background The primary aim of this study was to investigate the correlation between diabetic retinopathy (DR) and HALP score (hemoglobin, albumin, lymphocyte, platelet) in individuals with diabetes within United States population. Methods This cross-sectional investigation based on National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) database from 2003-2018. following module calculated score: = [lymphocytes (/L) × hemoglobin (g/L) albumin (g/L)]/platelets (/L). By performing receiver...

Blood pressure (BP) is a continuous and dynamic measure. However, standard BP control metrics may not reflect the variability in over time. This study assessed prognostic value of time target range among hypertensive patients with heart failure (HF).The authors performed post hoc analysis data from TOPCAT (Treatment Preserved Cardiac Function HF an Aldosterone Antagonist) trial BEST (Beta-Blocker Evaluation Survival Trial). Time (TTR) for each patient was calculated using linear interpolation...

Abstract Efficient thrombolysis in time is crucial for prognostic improvement of patients with acute arterial thromboembolic disease, while limitations and complications still exist conventional thrombolytic treatment methods. Herein, our study sought to investigate a novel dual-mode strategy that integrated ultrasound (US) near-infrared light (NIR) establishment hollow mesoporous silica nanoprobe (HMSN) which contains Arginine-glycine-aspartate (RGD) peptide (thrombus targeting),...

ABSTRACT Background Left bundle branch pacing (LBBP) emerged as a novel physiological modality that improves clinical outcomes. This study aimed to explore the impact of LBBP on QRS wave amplitude (RWA). Methods prospective observational included patients with complete left block (CLBBB) and cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) indication, well QRSd < 120 ms pacemaker indication. During procedure, when lead reached target site, 12‐lead ECGs at baseline 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 times thresholds...

ABSTRACT Background For the initial treatment strategy for patients with cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) indications, whether to choose left bundle branch area pacing (LBBaP) or biventricular (BVP) remains controversial. We aimed investigate cost‐effectiveness ratio (CER) of LBBaP and BVP in heart failure (HF) block (LBBB). Methods This observational study included HF LBBB who underwent successful BVP. The primary outcomes were echocardiographic response (left ventricular ejection...

Left bundle branch area pacing (LBBAP) has emerged as a promising physiologic strategy. Though many clinical studies have established the feasibility and safety of LBBAP, data for very elderly patients are lacking. This study aimed to assess LBBAP in (≥80 years). Two hundred forty consecutive who received implantation were retrospectively enrolled present study. Inclusion criteria with atrioventricular block, atrial fibrillation slow ventricular response, heart failure block. The divided into...

Our clinical observation found that T-wave inversions (TWIs) appeared during left bundle branch area pacing (LBBAP); however, the incidence and influencing factors were unclear. The study aimed to investigate effects of LBBAP on explore possible associated with TWIs.This was a retrospective cohort study. An electrocardiogram (ECG) acquired at baseline after LBBAP. Baseline characteristics, ECG parameters, troponin T (TnT) levels compared between non-TWIs TWIs groups. Multivariable logistic...

Recent guidelines recommended a systolic blood pressure (SBP) target of < 130 mmHg for patients with or without diabetes but providing lower bound. Our study aimed to explore whether additional clinical benefits remain at achieved (BP) levels below the target. We performed secondary analysis Systolic Blood Pressure Intervention Trial (SPRINT) among non-diabetic population and Action Control Cardiovascular Risk in Diabetes BP (ACCORD-BP) trial diabetic subjects. Comparative data the risk of atrial high-rate episodes (AHREs) between LBBAP and right ventricular (RVP) are lacking. Background Functional tricuspid regurgitation (FTR) is correlated with more symptoms and higher mortality. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect left bundle branch area pacing (LBBAP) on FTR in patients persistent atrial fibrillation (AF) bradycardia. Methods Consecutive a pacemaker indication who underwent successful LBBAP were identified between July 2018 March 2023. Patients met following criteria included: 1) AF; 2) mean heart rate (HR) < 60 bpm; 3) moderate or severe FTR....
