Following the recent observation of large magnetoresistance at room temperature in polyfluorene sandwich devices, we have performed a comprehensive study on set organic semiconductor devices made from different $\ensuremath{\pi}$-conjugated polymers and small molecules. The includes range materials that show greatly chemical structure, mobility, spin-orbit coupling strength. We both hole electron transporters temperatures ranging 10 K to 300 K. observe negative or positive (up 10% mT)...
We report on the discovery of a large, room temperature magnetoresistance (MR) effect in polyfluorene sandwich devices weak magnetic fields. characterize this and discuss its dependence voltage, temperature, film thickness, electrode materials, (unintentional) impurity concentration. usually observed negative MR, but positive MR can also be achieved under high applied electric The reaches up to 10% at fields 10mT temperature. shows only is independent sign direction field. find that related...
We explore the possibility that hyperfine interaction causes recently discovered organic magnetoresistance (OMAR) effect. deduce a simple fitting formula from Hamiltonian relates saturation field of OMAR traces to coupling constant. compare results literature values for this parameter. Furthermore, we apply an excitonic pair mechanism model based on interaction, previously suggested by others explain various magnetic-field effects in organics, data. Whereas can few key aspects experimental...
We study the recently discovered organic magnetoresistance (OMAR) effect in a pair of materials that have similar chemical structures except one contains heavy atom to enhance spin-orbit coupling. use photoluminescence spectroscopy estimate coupling strength. In material with weak characteristic magnetic field scale is comparable hyperfine strong we find OMAR strongly reduced size and traces clearly exhibit second, higher which identify model our results using standard spin-dynamics Hamiltonian.
We present the design principles for a pen-input organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display based on recently discovered magnetoresistance effect (OMAR). In prototypical OLED material Alq 3 , OMAR is as large 10% small magnetic fields, B=10 mT at room temperature. construct screen consisting of an 8 times pixel array made from together with pen that emits ac field. describe multiplexed...
In this work, Pd-Ni and Pd nanoparticles are deposited on Vulcan carbon (XC-72R), multi-walled nanotubes (MWCNTs) reduced graphene oxide (rGO) investigated towards oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). The structural features of catalyst characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) energy dispersive (EDX). ORR activity catalysts is via cyclic voltammetry (CV), rotating disk electrode (RDE), electrochemical impedance (EIS) chronoamperometry...
We report on the experimental characterization of a recently discovered large magnetoresistive effect in polyfluorene and Alq3 organic light-emitting diodes. also observe similar magnetic field effects (MFEs) comparable magnitude electroluminescence photocurrent measurements. provide comprehensive overview all these three types MFE. To best our knowledge, mechanism causing MFEs is not currently known with certainty. Moreover, we show that experiments bipolar, electroluminescent devices do...
This study focuses on the characterization and optimization of calixarene modified carbon nanotube thin films for gas detection.Calixarene molecules were synthesized individually by considering their functional groups to attract gas.Calixarene based sensors fabricated using drop-casting method a quartz crystal microbalance gold electrode.Carbon monoxide, carbondioxide, oxygen dry air used as active gases adsorption process, while high-purity nitrogen was desorption process. The selectivity...
In this study, the tribological, mechanical and electrochemical performances of electrodeposited nickel–molybdenum–phosphorus (Ni–Mo–P) coating containing polychlorotrifluoroethylene (PCTFE) nanoparticles were investigated.
The authors describe three spin and magnetic field effects in organic semiconductor devices: First, injection, transport detection of spin-polarised carriers using an as the spacer layer a spin-valve structure, yielding low-temperature giant magnetoresistance large 40%. Secondly, spin-dependent exciton formation: pairs electrons holes show different reaction rates (the products being singlet or triplet excitons, respectively) dependent on whether they recombine spin-parallel...
Sandwich type polyelectrolyte nano-thin films (PENTFs) were prepared by using polyallylamine hydrochloride and polyacrylic acid from layer-by-layer assembly process with spin coating system. Their nanostructures have been studied scanning electron microscope, atomic force attenuated total reflectance Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. In order to understand the effects of initial concentration thorium, solution pH, temperature, contact time on reaction between thorium PENTF, an...
