Metabolomics provides data about all the metabolic processes of a cell or organism. So far, changes that occur in levels metabolites during development colitis have not been fully elucidated. Here we examined metabolite serum and colon tissue mice using gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC/MS) with aim achieving detailed understanding pathogenesis inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). To induce colitis, C57BL/6J were administered 3.0% dextran sulfate sodium (DSS) their drinking water for 5...
Abstract Background Immune checkpoint inhibitor-related pancreatic injury (ICI-PI) is a rare occurrence, which has not been reported in detail. We conducted retrospective multicenter study to determine the clinical characteristics, risk factors, and treatment of ICI-PI. Methods reviewed medical records patients who received ICIs for malignant tumors between April 2014 2019 at 16 participating hospitals. Patients with elevated enzymes or pancreatitis were identified classified using Common...
Focal parenchymal atrophy and main pancreatic duct (MPD) dilatation have been identified as early signs of ductal adenocarcinoma. However, limited evidence exists regarding their temporal progression due to previous study limitations with restricted case numbers.
The pathogenesis of gastroduodenal diseases is related to the diversity Helicobacter pylori strains. CagA-positive strains are more likely cause gastric cancer than CagA-negative Based on EPIYA (Glu-Pro-Ile-Tyr-Ala) motifs at carboxyl terminus corresponding phosphorylation sites, H. CagA divided into East Asian and Western CagA. former type prevails in Asia closely associated with cancer. present study used full sequences cagA gene protein 22 peptic ulcer patients from Southern Vietnam make...
Abstract Objectives Covered self‐expandable metal stents are commonly used for unresectable malignant distal biliary obstruction. Partially covered have uncovered sections at both ends; however, their anti‐migration effect remains unclear. The objective of this study was to evaluate that by comparing such with fully patients Methods This a multicenter, retrospective comparative partially Stent migration, recurrent obstruction, and the time obstruction were compared between them. Results...
Endoscopic self-expandable metal stent (SEMS) placement is currently the standard technique for treating unresectable malignant distal biliary obstructions (MDBO). Therefore, covered SEMS with longer patency and fewer migrations are required. This study aimed to assess clinical performance of a novel, fully MDBO.
