The factionated extracts of wild grape (Ampelocissus martini Planch.) roots by silica gel chromatography eluting with different solvent systems were firstly prepared, and then assayed for their phytochemical contents antioxidant activity. A high level total phenolic flavonoid content found in both crude extract chromatographic fractions. ethyl acetate: methanol (75:25 %v/v) fraction had the highest as well activity assessed all methods, except ABTS assay. This indicated that solvents...

The selection of extraction solvents is a critical factor influencing the composition and concentration phytochemicals in plant extracts, thereby leading to variations their biological activities. In this study, Ampelocissus martini Planch., an edible traditionally used for its medicinal properties, was investigated phytochemical profile We assessed impact different fractionating aqueous methanolic root extract on content, as well antioxidant, antidiabetic, antibacterial properties. Among 3...

A methanolic extract of wild grape (Ampelocissus martinii Planch.) seed at green (immature) growth stage was partially purified using silica gel chromatography, before the investigation total phytochemicals and antioxidant activity sub-fractions. The ethyl acetate/methanol 3:1 (v/v) fraction had higher activities than others. gallic acid, myricetin, resveratrol were dominant phenolic substances in this fraction. However, acetate sub-fraction found highest content epicatechin catechin....

This study aimed to evaluate and correlate phytochemical content, antioxidant activity alpha-amylase inhibitory in aqueous acetone extract fractions derived from it (ethyl acetate fraction, watersoluble methanol fraction fraction) which are obtained Ampelocissus martini Planch. root. Ethyl had the highest total phenolic content proanthocyanidin respectively. 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl, 2,2'-azino-bis (3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulphonic acid), cupric reducing capacity ferric power assays...

A hydromethanolic root extract of Ampelocissus martinii Planch. (A. martinii) was analyzed by standard methods for its phytochemical content, antioxidant activity, α-amylase and α-glucosidase inhibitions antibacterial activities. The exhibited the highest content saponins, followed phenols, proanthocyanidin flavonoids, respectively. It showed high activity in FRAP CUPRAC assays. Trolox had similar activities DPPH ABTS assay. also much higher inhibitory compared to acarbose. Moreover,...

This study aimed to extract cellulose from water hyacinth using as material for preparation of cellulose/silk fibroin composite films. Using scanning electron microscope (SEM), the native silk film has smooth surfaces and homogeneous texture, while short fiber on its surface with dense in texture. The films have different morphologies depending types polymer used hierarchical step film. FTIR analysis showed that main functional groups both (hydroxyl groups) (carbonyl amine groups). also...
